BOX SPRINGS MOUNTAIN PARK REVIEWS
Took the dogs out to the box springs trail-always a donkey sighting guarantee. Be cautious as lots of OTHER DOGS and being that this respiratory thing for them going around we came back to our youngest doing a bit of choke-couhging but nothing today. Unsure if all the dog or donkey doodie contributed to that but I know it's still a new thing. Love thar this is close to our house and great views of Riverside from up above!
found this place on accident and ended up hanging out for a couple hours. walked up along a not too strenuous trail, that lead us to the top of the mountain. where we had an awesome view of our sun setting and the lights of the city below that began to illuminate the night time sky. oh, and were alot of burros.
My favorite local hike. I go up Two Trees Trail from the Riverside side to the top by Pigeon pass. It's a great elevation gain. I have encountered Rattlers and Coyotes on this trail, and have been warned of Mt. Lion sightings as well.

MORENO VALLEY M REVIEWS
It was a beautiful day for the hike but make sure you don’t over work yourself because if you hiked from the bottom at the parking lot to the top of the “M” and you haven’t exercised in a while, going down will be very hard on your thighs and calves.. you will be sore for a few days.. as we hiked this on Saturday and I’m still hurting on a Tuesday lol also wear hiking boots and bring lots of water and wear lots of sunscreen.. there’s lots of loose gravel, rocks there so watch your steps when going back down. Definitely worth the hike if you get a chance.
The hike to the "big M" is a great challenging hike. Sure to get your blood flowing and your legs burning. It's about a two hour hike, roundtrip, but is filled with a great view and rewarding finish. Pack water and wear sun protection, as there is virtually no shade the entire hike.
This can be a 2.5 hour hike round trip, not for the faint at heart. No shade at all, lots of Donkey doo, really steep, so returning hurts. Take plenty of water, and determination, you can do it. The view is beautiful. The hike should be done early morning, if not take a buddy.

Love the history and trails here. Good for horses, hikers, even strollers good and mountain bikers. Please don't go if you like tagging your hiking places. Old Hunts Ranch had hogs there. Really cool abandoned buildings. Be careful to watch where you step. wild fire road to it. Hot in summer not much shade until you near houses on ranch.

I like going to different local hiking locations. This one was is in my top 5 so far. Read all the precautions before hiking these trails. You can come across a mountain lion. Possibly some dear too. I didn't come across either, but when you get to the top and see, you see there could be a chance.
