" Joe Davies Heritage Airpark features a wide variety of retired military aircraft, from jets to bombers. The airpark is centered around exhibits of aircraft that portray their rich aerospace heritage and historical significance. Visitors can explore and learn about various aircraft, including jets, helicopters, and experimental planes. The museum's collection includes aircraft flown, tested, produced, designed, or modified at the United States Air Force Plant 42. Joe Davies Heritage Airpark has 21 retired military aircraft on static display, an AGM-28 Hound Dog Missile, plus a 1/8 scale model of the B-2 Spirit, a C-46, a B-52, and various aircraft components. Guided tours are available Monday through Saturday upon request.

2026 Highlights: Joe Davies Heritage Airpark offers an "Adopt-a-Plane" program that allows interested groups to adopt one of the aircraft displayed at the airpark. "

“ Blackbird Airpark is the only display of a Lockheed SR-71A together with its predecessor A-12, along with the once ultra-secret D-21 drone and the only remaining U-2 “D” model in the world. The Airpark was established to preserve the proud heritage of the Blackbird family of military aircraft. The Blackbird Heritage Courtyard brick exhibit commemorates designers, crew members, and others associated with Blackbird aircraft’s development and mission execution during the Cold War years. The Airpark offers a Junior Test Pilot program to learn about the STEM principles and physics of flight testing and aerospace development in the Aerospace Valley. ”

JOE DAVIES HERITAGE AIRPARK REVIEWS

This is a great air park, great variety, SR-71, A-12, U-2D and D-21M is crazy combo you don’t see often. Shuttle carrier, X-55, and SC Triumph, are all 1 of 1 as well. I miss the F-117 being here but the trade for the D-21 was good at least. I first came here when I was 3 years old, it’s part of what got me into airplanes in the first place.

A fantastic spot for anyone who loves aviation history. Walking around and seeing the aircraft up close is a great experience, and the informational plaques provide insight into the planes and the pilots who flew them. It’s a peaceful, well-maintained place that’s perfect for a stroll while learning about aviation. Definitely worth a visit.

Really cool free place to go. My favorite part was all the NASA aircraft and the big space shuttle carrier.

The Palmdale City Library is located in Palmdale California 93550. I have been coming here for the last 20 years and it is a good experience. The staff here is super friendly especially today.I really appreciate everyone here working hard especially during this pandemic to keep us all safe. Please continue to keep to this Library open for many years and generations to come. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely appreciate this wonderful Library.

I absolutely love coming to the library. I take my daughter with me and she loves it just as much as I do. Definitely no other place in Palmdale I'd rather take my daughter. The staff is very friendly.

Palmdale has a great library. There's lots for kids to do; books, toy trails, computer games, board games, etc. The people who work there are courteous and helpful.

BLACKBIRD AIRPARK REVIEWS

Truly outstanding! We saw A-12 and SR-71 blackbirds. They are absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The volunteer guide, Chris, is super knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to him very much! Highly recommend! Admission is FREE. We made a donation at the donation box next to the guide.

Had a phenomenal visit here with some fellow vets exchanging stories of our times in the military aviation community. The volunteers here are awesome, very passionate about the reason they are there, and MORE than happy to teach you [as much as they are allowed to] about these amazing aircraft.

Fantastic Food & Vibe! Blackbird in Palmdale is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. The food is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I tried their [specific dish if you have a favorite] and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. If you're in Palmdale and looking for a great dining experience, Blackbird is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back.
