“Joe Davies Heritage Airpark features a wide variety of retired military aircraft, from jets to bombers. The airpark is centered around exhibits of aircraft that portray their rich aerospace heritage and historical significance. Visitors can explore and learn about various aircraft, including jets, helicopters, and experimental planes. The museum's collection includes aircraft flown, tested, produced, designed, or modified at the United States Air Force Plant 42. Joe Davies Heritage Airpark has 21 retired military aircraft on static display, an AGM-28 Hound Dog Missile, plus a 1/8 scale model of the B-2 Spirit, a C-46, a B-52, and various aircraft components. Guided tours are available Monday through Saturday upon request.”

The site spans a 19-year history of Los Angeles-based artists and activists tactically engaging with issues of spatial justice. Llano del Rio Collective is located 22.1 miles from downtown Palmdale. Llano del Rio Collective aims to expand the social, cultural, and political imagination of Los Angeles by producing thematic guides and related events and hosting a speakers bureau. The collective is engaged in prefigurative research. The site's variety of printed objects reflects almost entirely the social and political landscape.”

JOE DAVIES HERITAGE AIRPARK REVIEWS

This is a great air park, great variety, SR-71, A-12, U-2D and D-21M is crazy combo you don’t see often. Shuttle carrier, X-55, and SC Triumph, are all 1 of 1 as well. I miss the F-117 being here but the trade for the D-21 was good at least. I first came here when I was 3 years old, it’s part of what got me into airplanes in the first place.

A fantastic spot for anyone who loves aviation history. Walking around and seeing the aircraft up close is a great experience, and the informational plaques provide insight into the planes and the pilots who flew them. It’s a peaceful, well-maintained place that’s perfect for a stroll while learning about aviation. Definitely worth a visit.

Really cool free place to go. My favorite part was all the NASA aircraft and the big space shuttle carrier.

The Palmdale City Library is located in Palmdale California 93550. I have been coming here for the last 20 years and it is a good experience. The staff here is super friendly especially today.I really appreciate everyone here working hard especially during this pandemic to keep us all safe. Please continue to keep to this Library open for many years and generations to come. I'm not guilty, to say that I absolutely appreciate this wonderful Library.

I absolutely love coming to the library. I take my daughter with me and she loves it just as much as I do. Definitely no other place in Palmdale I'd rather take my daughter. The staff is very friendly.

Palmdale has a great library. There's lots for kids to do; books, toy trails, computer games, board games, etc. The people who work there are courteous and helpful.

LLANO DEL RIO COLLECTIVE REVIEWS

This place has an amazing little story that many folks, even locals, do the know. Most folks are familiar with the twin stonework chimneys just north of highway 138, but there is much more to this place. The community once boasted more than 1,000 residents and stretches on for a mile. The paths and ruins extend further north, including a stone lined water trough. Directly opposite the hotel, across the highway, are many orderly mounds that served as tent or shack bases. If you look straight south from the hotel, you can see a large silo which is also part of the ruins. This is accessible by an unpaved road off 165th. There are more buildings near the silo, including a fantastic stonework dairy barn.

This place is super awesome to visit, if you don't mind the plentiful rattlesnakes. The foundations of the buildings are still there, and there are a surprising number of them that are in surprisingly good condition. The well is overgrown, but it could probably be made to work with a little effort, it's that well-preserved. It's also cool since no one seems to go there. We were there for over an hour and no one else came by. So you kind of get your own private tour of early 20th century Californian history.

This site was the most memorable places we visited. This colony later moved to Louisiana. My husband's parents moved there before he was born, but he was totally knowledgeable of almost every aspect of the original colony in California.
