Luther Burbank Home & Gardens is located at the intersection of Santa Rosa Avenue and Sonoma Avenue in Santa Rosa, California. The house is dedicated to the life and achievements of renowned horticulturist Luther Burbank and encompasses his former residence, gardens, greenhouse, and resting place. Visitors can take guided tours led by docents and explore gift shops, museums, and various garden areas, such as those highlighting cutting flower gardens, wildlife habitats, medicinal herbs, roses, and ornamental grasses. A group of volunteers manages the property as a demonstration garden and house museum.

Definitely take a tour. Only way to go inside the house. The gardens can be seen without a tour (but included). Marti was an amazing guide. She knew so much! Tour was over an hour, she had so many stories and interesting information to share. By and far best docent I’ve had at any place, ever. Street parking. There is a small gift shop too.

I lived in Santa Rosa in the 1990s. I had forgotten what a purely magical.place the Luther Burbank Home & Garden was and is. The place is tranquil and the blossoms were beautiful. It is a sacred environment to be grounded and feel at peace.

Even in January, the gardens were a beautiful experience. Definitely would love to come back in spring.

MUSEUM OF SONOMA COUNTY REVIEWS

The museum including 2 main building the classic old and modern building, classic one in 2 floors including precious painting from over 100 years ago to the more current items on upstairs. There’re also a lot of informative equipments like touch screens and audio systems which explain the county history and story of immigrants and population. There is an exhibition of wooden art works in the next building too which is valuable, take a look at my pictures, please.

My gal and I came here for the lowrider exhibit which was excellent. It is next door to the main space, which is a hundred year old post office that was saved from demolition in the 1980's. The building and their exhibits, from Sonoma county in general to beer brewing and a few others are just excellent. Well worth the $10 admission.

Lovely museum! There are two separate buildings with different galleries & a sculpture garden. Friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit.

PACIFIC COAST AIR MUSEUM REVIEWS

A little gem for aviation enthusiasts, especially if you know your US Navy Jets. I'm surprised that this place wasn't overflowing with visitors because it has some fantastic exhibits. If you know your carrier-based Jets, you'd be delighted to discover every major attack jet since the 1960s, from the A-4 and A-6 to the A-7 and the legacy Hornet. In broad daylight among the other exhibits sits a well-preserved Ilyushuin IL-14 although I have to admit that the one thing that truly got my attention was the T-2C Buckeye.

As an avgeek, this was a great experience for 10 USD. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around and seeing a variety of aircraft, they have detailed exhibits particularly on Vietnam and 9/11. Most exhibits are outdoors, only a few are under the hangar, so definitely wear a hat and sunscreen! Staff (I believe volunteers) were friendly. Portable restrooms on site. Well worth the admission.

Great museum with lots of displays for the rural area. This museum is always growing and has a thriving crew of volunteers. Just a short hop from the airport. Veterans are free. Nice gift shop with lots of fun toys for kids or kids at heart.
