TOP 3 OLD COURTHOUSE MUSEUM REVIEWS
This was a pleasant surprise. We visit a lot of local museums and this one didn't disappoint. The first floor had some great historical information, some of it novelty stuff like makeup and beauty history. The second floor was the beautiful courtrooms and a nice American flag display and the third floor is the balcony over the courthouse. A lot of information for a small proce of FREE.
FREE....but if you enjoy your experience they have a donation box. We definitely donated. The building itself is just beautiful to see, and there are several interesting exhibits throughout. They have a car Teddy Roosevelt rode in a parade in the city, a tree that got pierced by a steel girder during a 1932 tornado, an old school voting machine that you can operate, and more. Stop in for a little South Dakota history. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend and I stopped in on our trip to Sioux Falls to see some of the historic pieces and check the place out. We really enjoyed ourselves. There are some really cool pieces and artifacts throughout the building. It's also completely free of charge. Donations are accepted and encouraged, though.

TOP 3 PETTIGREW HOME & MUSEUM REVIEWS
I really enjoyed this mansion. The house is beautiful and it's wonderful to experience how they lived a 100 years ago. It's amazing that this mansion is free, as other mansions I've toured usually have a charge. Something about the original owner of the home required that it it be maintained as a free museum. Our tour guide was excellent and knew all the answers to my esoteric questions. Old mansions like this simply require a tour guide to make the most of the experience, and this was an excellent example of that.
This is a super cool place with a good chunk of local history. We took a quick tour through the residence and also looked through the museum. It's free and very much worth the stop.
Awesome, tour guide was helpful and i learned some real neat things about mr.pettigrew. this place is very unique and a cool little historical gem.

TOP 3 BATTLESHIP SOUTH DAKOTA MEMORIAL REVIEWS
What a unique and honorable feat that the State of South Dakota and the City of Sioux Falls has done with this terrific ship. This exhibit is World Class and has many original displays from the original battleship. Really proud we got to see it.
Nice collection of memorabilia from the USS South Dakota. Outside is a built outline of the ship with a bit to see and read. Inside a lot of memorabilia. We were only there about 30 mins but it was a nice display to remember the ship and its passengers.
Museum is located in a small one floor building. There is a small gift store. It took us up to an hour to see all the exhibits inside and take a tour around the museum. It’s very educational and interesting for kids and adults.
