The museum offers visitors an insight into the rich history of Florida, emphasizing St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. It has the biggest collection of memorabilia baseballs to take a stroll through the fascinating past of St. Petersburg to a 3,000 year-old Egyptian mum. Museum's Main Gallery features rotating exhibitions that rotate annually and include a range of subjects from Seminole Indians to unusual Florida shipwreck artifacts. The museum provides the public with community outreach services that include educational workshops, free concerts, and a public meeting learning center. History Museum also offers several local-authored books on Florida history and a collection of novelty items in their gift shop. The galleries are available for weddings and event rentals. It presents free entry for children six and under.
