Although Dr. Schultz is the only therapist I have seen, I can confidently say I believe she is one of the best out there. Dr. Schultz is incredibly easy to talk to and makes discussing what are sometimes very difficult topics less scary to talk about, as she creates a comforting and safe environment out of the session—something that is hard to accomplish over a web call. Dr. Schultz made me feel as though she truly cared about me and my well-being and sympathized with what I was going through, which made it much easier to open up to her about emotionally triggering subjects. Dr. Schultz always remembered everything I had told her from a previous session, even if that session was months ago. If I ever had trouble articulating my feelings, Dr. Schultz would give me time to form my thoughts. However, when I sometimes could not come up with words for why or how I was feeling, Dr. Schultz would offer her own explanation for why I was feeling the way I was. At the same time, she made sure that she was not speaking for me and always checked to see what I thought about her explanation. This helped tremendously with understanding my feelings and with my overall healing process. If I ever feel the need to speak to a therapist again, I would definitely choose Dr. Schultz. I believe that her time and skills are priceless and I have a huge amount of respect for her.
