“Dr. Lou F. Martin has been the Executive Director of The Christian Psychological Center since 2022 and has worked there since 2007. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Memphis after getting a degree in Education from Millsaps College. Dr. Martin started her career as a teacher and became a school counselor. Since joining the Christian Psychological Center, she has focused on helping families with high-conflict divorces, creating blended family agreements, discipline plans, and ways to handle stress. She has been a certified mediator in Tennessee since 2019. Dr. Martin is an expert in reducing childhood trauma, writing articles on the topic, and addressing clinical needs in her practice. She uses various proven therapies, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Martin's practice helps professional women with personal and work-related wellness, anxiety, and life changes. She is skilled at working with clients facing various emotional or interpersonal challenges related to relationships, school, or social pressures.”
