Pennie Hurta, LPC - THRIVEWORKS COUNSELING

I’ve been seeing Pennie Hurta for about seven months now, and the improvement in how I interact and perceive the world is incredible. She’s helped me feel empowered and challenges me to recognize where I could improve my habits or communication. Before I began talking with Pennie, I felt like I was sabotaging my own life through fear and insecurities that I’d carried for years. Since talking to her, I feel like I can think and rationalize my way out of the swirling emotional responses I was used to having; it feels like night and day. Pennie’s direct while kind, perceptive and funny, and can somehow find a way through the emotional callouses we build over time in our lives. She recommends pertinent resources for you to familiarize yourself with between sessions, and doesn’t make you feel less if you couldn’t look into it that week. She guides and helps make each step through personal growth a little bit lighter. If I could give her 10 stars out of five, I would.

Pennie Hurta is an awesome counsler. I highly recommend her for trauma therapy. She was very supportive and helpful with working through my trauma.
