Sunshine was incredibly detail oriented, thoughtful, and empowering throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I felt safe and supported - she worked well with my GP/prenatal coordinator in offering me the absolute best care. I could not have even imagined a better home birth experience. She is the perfect balance of professionalism and loving assistance in bring my little one into the world.
There are no words that can express gratitude and respect for this amazing lady! Sunshine is the definition of sunshine and hope. She brings a lot of calm, stability, assurance and a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering babies and helping the mamas give birth safely and joyfully. I got in touchh with Sunshine around 29weeks of pregnancy, which was a very difficult and worrisome few weeks because I found that my ObGyn was going on a leave. I didnt want to be handed over to another Ob who I didnt know or trust. Enter Sunshine. I couldnt have taken a more perfect decision in my life, especially for this most important and momentous occasion of my life. If you have come to this page and reading this review, please GO for it. You will not regret having Sunshine as your guide through this journey of motherhood or managing your reproductive health!
Sunshine made me feel supported, safe and calm during the fast and furious delivery of my second child. I just wish her birth center was around when I was having my kids. I would have loved to have given birth in a beautiful place like that with all of the warmth and support .

SOUTH BAY HOMEBIRTH COLLECTIVE REVIEWS
I am so grateful to Hope for the amazing care I received throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum! She is amazing - warm, knowledgable, caring and considerate. My partner appreciated that she was very balanced and non-judgmental in her approach to birth. I was so sad to say goodbye at our 6 week check up... wish she could be part of our lives forever! Thank you Hope!!!
I worked with Sunshine for the birth of my first son. I loved our prenatal visits, she really takes her time and answers any questions you have about ANYTHING. You really get to build a relationship with her leading up to the birth, which I really enjoyed. I was even dealing with unemployment and disability benefits and she was always there to help get that all sorted for me. I was super grateful for that. I had my birth at her birth center in Santa Cruz and it was magical. The most beautiful setting with twinkle lights and a nice big tub. I can't recommend her enough!
South Bay Homebirth Collective is AMAZING! I had my appointments in San Jose with Melissa because I live in Saratoga, and when it was baby time my fiancé drove us the 25 minutes down to Morgan Hill to the birth center. Melissa and her doulas are so knowledgable and comforting. This was my first birth and if we are in the Bay Area for our next I am definitely going to call, and more than likely have another transformative experience in the hands of experts. Highly recommended on every level!

DOULA MEG REVIEWS
Although I haven't officially worked with Meg - I did chew her ear off for a whole hour yesterday LOL! I'm a first time mom with very limited knowledge and resources. Meg was incredible helpful, patient, and answered all of my questions. I am definitely going to utilize her services in the future - she made me feel safe and heard me out. And during pregnancy that's a feeling that has been rare. Thank you Meg!
I saw Meg's profile on Yelp, read her reviews and texted her today (Saturday) AM. The text was prompted by the fact that we needed some help with breastfeeding and lactation. Shortly thereafter we got a call from Meg and she spoke to both me and my wife and shared a whole lot of info on lactation. The info she shared was very helpful to make us feel better and we are implementing some of the practical suggestions she made to us. She followed up her call with sending us several online reference sources and more ideas on what we could do. Meg is a natural at what she does and we could tell she has a passion and dedication to her profession. 5 stars, hands down!
I had my placenta encapsulated with my first born and found it to be extremely beneficial for me, specifically with my mood. So for my second son I knew I wanted to do it again. I found Doula Meg from another doula who retired and I liked what she offered so I gave her a try. I am so glad I went with her because I feel she went above and beyond. For this time around I have a placenta print and part of the umbilical cord in the shape of a heart. I am using the placenta pills again and I ordered a tincture to help with menopause. She was extremely quick with pick up and delivery and took time to sit with me after and talk. If we decide to have a third child I will definitely us her services again. I also would recommend anyone considering a doula to hire Meg. A most positive experience I had.
