3 Best Midwives in Tulsa, OK

I had a wonderful experience with all the midwives. My baby’s birth is something I look back on with immense joy. I hope to have another home-birth with them in the future. The quality of prenatal and postpartum care is beyond anything a woman could wish for. My older kids were able to join me for every appointment, there are toys for them to play with, plus they have an accommodating schedule.

I have had 3 births, but my first unmedicated home birth was with Modern Village a few months ago, and what a difference in the quality of care it has been. I loved that they are knowledgeable about more than just basic pregnancy needs, but also nutrition and beyond. They ask about emotional health, nutrition, and activity, but when I wasn’t doing my best, they never made me feel bad about it but encouraged me and gave advice. There is plenty of time built into appointments to answer any questions. I like that both Elizabeth and Sarah were there at my birth. Having more than one just gives me a little extra peace of mind. Postpartum care is so great and more extensive than I’ve ever gotten when giving birth in the hospital. Overall great experience.

Loved my experience with the midwives at Modern Village! I always knew I could reach out with questions, was prepared when my water broke, and had a wonderful, peace filled labor and delivery. I definitely recommend their services.

TBC has been an answer to prayer for us. Working with Sarah Foster for the last six years and three babies, she has been such a solid foundation for us to lean on. We have also used her two student midwives who are either now midwives themselves (Lydia) or are in training (Sarah), and loved them just as much. She reassured us that she would be there every step of the way and intervene if needed, but allowed them to do all the things that they knew to do. I hope they got to learn something along the way and practice all the skills Sarah has taught them! She is wonderful and works wonders under pressure!!!! When I first looked into midwifery and homebirth, it was so foreign, but through the classes the center offered and lots of time spent getting to know each other on a personal level, I felt as prepared as we could be for birth! Each birth was very different and each Midwife played such a vital role in each of them! The most incredible thing is that they are non-alarmist (minimally medical until necessary), helping you feel confident and secure in the fact that our bodies were made to do this!!! I love all the naturopathic remedies they use and how their calm rubs off on you when you are tempted to be anxious about anything along the way, in pregnancy, labor, birth and post partum. We highly recommend TBC, and we do to everyone we speak to interested in midwifery or home births!!! Thank you Sarah, Lydia, and Sarah for all the years of wonderful care!!!!! We love you!

I have nothing but love and respect for the precious women at Tulsa Birth Center. My mind is blown by the care and knowledge they provide.They held my wife’s hand through 40 weeks of pregnancy answering every call and text. I watched them get behind my wife encouraging and uplifting her. We love our midwives and will use them in the future. Tulsa birth center was perfect for us, we did not use insurance and we’re able to pay at our own pace. I am a FTM and I was so scared to give birth, naturally and unmedicated. But let me tell you I LOVED my birth experience and can not wait to be back. Not only are they amazing women but never ONCE was I touched, or forced into doing something I wasn’t comfortable with or asked if it was okay. Even when checking if I was dilated my midwife asked and explained the whole process as she could tell I was nervous. After giving birth I found myself missing my midwife and missing the experience. It was amazing. Attentive, respectful, and knowledgeable are some words I would use to describe my midwife. My midwife was Sarah 10/10 amazing. Such a genuine and kind woman. My co midwife was Heather another amazing heart. Also want to shout out Annabelle who stepped in when Sarah had to do some clinics and my body was still preparing for labor. Can’t wait to be back with my next baby. My recommendation are any of those 3 ladies Do yourself a favor and birth with the ladies at TBC, you will not regret it.
