2026 Update: Musical Instrument Museum is the largest museum of its type in the world. Robert J. Ulrich is the founder of the Museum. The contemporary building spans approximately 200,000 square feet, with 2 floors of galleries. Musical Instrument Museum has a wide range of collection, more than 15,000 musical instruments and associated objects includes examples from nearly 200 countries and territories, representing every continent. The United States, Mexico, India, China, and Brazil larger countries, have multiple displays with subsections for various types of ethnic, folk, and tribal music. Musical Instrument Museum facility contains a 299-seat theater for concerts and also a cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating.

2026 Update: Heard Museum is a private, not-for-profit museum that presents the stories of American Indian people from a first-person perspective. The museum provides exhibitions of traditional and contemporary art by American Indian artists influenced by American Indian art. Dwight B is the founder of the Heard Museum, and it was designed by architect Bennie Gonzales. Heard Museum has a wide range of collections, which consist of over 40,000 items, including a library and archives with more than 34,000 volumes. The museum spans over 130,000 square feet of gallery, classroom, and performance space, and the Heard Museum attracts over 250,000 visitors a year. Heard Museum hosts the annual El Mercado de Las Artes every November, and the Indian Fair and Market is held annually in March, featuring 15,000 visitors and over 600 Native American artists.

2026 Update: Arizona Capitol Museum comprises the original State Capitol building, which features two buildings housing the legislative chambers for the Arizona State Legislature that made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The museum hosts exhibits, events, and programs that focus on the evolution of Arizona from Territory to State, and provides school-age visitors with curriculum-related information for Arizona State History. Arizona Capitol Museum welcomes more than 70,000 visitors each year, including more than 50,000 school children. The Territory of Arizona was formed in 1863, Phoenix was named the capital in 1889, construction of the historic building was completed in 1901, and Arizona achieved statehood in 1912.
