We absolutely love Guitar Shed! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes learning music such a joy. My two children (10 and 7) take piano lessons with Maria, and we couldn’t ask for a better teacher. Maria is incredibly patient, encouraging, and skilled at making lessons both engaging and educational. She knows how to meet each child where they are, fostering their love for music while helping them build confidence and technique. She brings such positivity to every lesson, and my kids always leave excited to practice and eager to return. The team at Guitar Shed is fantastic—organized, friendly, and truly passionate about music education. I have taken guitar, piano, and vocal lessons from Guitar Shed since it first opened. Of the 5 instructors I have had, 3 of them are still there - Brandon, Parker, and Maria. They are all great. One of the best aspects of Guitar Shed is the performance opportunities and the community of people I have met there to attend open mics and concerts with. Most recently, I have been taking voice lessons from Maria for several years. She consistently finds new techniques to push me out of my comfort zone. Every lesson, I feel like I learn something new about my voice and every part of my body that goes into singing. Aside from weekly lessons, she has also helped me in the studio when recording vocal takes for original songs.

I had a fantastic experience at The Guitar Shed! When I had my first lesson, I had never held a guitar in my life but I was determined to play a song at my upcoming wedding. My instructor, Micah, is the best! With patience, insight and incredible musical talent, he was able to get me to the point where I did successfully play a song for my new husband at our wedding. Micah taught me about musical theory and, on occasion, peeled me off the ceiling when I was ready to throw my guitar in the trash. I have since moved out of state, but would highly recommend The Guitar Shed (and Micah) to anyone who wants to pick up the instrument.

I love meeting with my piano teacher, Andrew! He’s very funny and goofy. He does a great impression of Kermit the frog. He’s an extremely talented teacher and knows how to play lots of different instruments. He supports me a lot and lets me pick my own songs to learn. Right now he’s helping me compose my first piano song, and that’s been going super well! Thank you, Andrew.

My son and I have attended Music Together for over a year now starting when he was just a baby. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoy going to class each week! Justin does an amazing job keeping the kids of many ages engaged and feeling welcomed from the moment they walk in the door. He utilizes different instruments, rhythms, and musical techniques to keep class fun and educational. My son looks forward to class each week and loves singing the songs at home! We've had a great experience with Highland Music Studio so far. Our daughter started piano lessons when she was 4; it's been more than a year and she still goes there. She's playing really well (for her age) and is always excited to learn more. Her teacher, Ms. Amanda, is fantastic! (Mr. Matt filled in for Ms. Amanda the one time she was sick, and he is also really really nice.
