GIFTED MUSIC SCHOOL REVIEWS

We drive down from Park City for the excellent music instruction provided by Gifted Music School. It is more than just lessons - it is truly a learning community. We especially appreciate the increased number of group classes this year. The teaching musicians are fantastic. We were first put off by the pretentious name "Gifted", and disappointed by the facilities (lack of sound insulation between rehearsal rooms) - but the amazing teachers and community achieve amazing results.when the weather has been nasty or if we have been sick, we’ve been able to just go virtual that day. I highly recommend this school.

My older son has been receiving clarinet lessons with teacher Erin at GMS. He has had multiple music teachers prior to her and we feel like we hit the jackpot with her. She is kind, patient, but also holds high expectations of her students. She is awesome! The school staff is super organized and friendly. They do an awesome job of pairing students with teachers. My younger son will start piano lessons next month with teacher Yelena. We are super excitedes.

I've taken two of my kids here for a Suzuki Toddler Mommy & Me Music class. They do an excellent job! Very talented and knowledgeable instructors, even for the toddler class! It was very beneficial for the kids.

SALT LAKE ACADEMY OF MUSIC REVIEWS

SLAM has changed my sons life for the better. His musical skills have grown exponentially. He got to drum at the Maverick center and play all over the city. The best thing about it is the friends and bandmates he has met. His teacher Zakk inspires new music ideas and pushes him to new skill levels. He now plays the drums, bass and guitar as well as singing. We are forever fans of Salt Lake Academy of Music and are happy to be part of the Slamily.

We LOVE SLAM!! Steve is incredibly passionate, encouraging and always connects with my kid. The instructors are actual working musicians, who spend countless hours wholeheartedly mentoring SLAM's budding young musicians! Definitely send your kids here.

We really love SLAM! My daughter has been going for 4 weeks and has made a lot of progress! The teachers and staff are top-notch! I highly recommend SLAM for music lessons and programs.

I started working with Dylan near the end of 2024 and in only a few months, I have already seen remarkable improvement! Dylan is a phenomenal guitar teacher - he's very structured in his teaching, he has a rare knack for making difficult musical concepts understandable, he creates a customized plan for your development, he holds you accountable with exercises to reinforce concepts each week, and he's very patient and supportive with his students during the learning process. On top of all of that, he's a really great guy - I truly enjoy our lessons together and look forward to them each week. I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to start learning the guitar or improve their skills after a history of playing.

When my 15-year-old son started asking for guitar lessons, Dylan came highly recommended and he has been so great! He teaches valuable skills while still keeping things fun and engaging, allowing my son to pick music that he is interested in playing. This has resulted in my son learning to love guitar and voluntarily doing lots of practicing on his own, which we have never experienced with any music lessons in the past! In addition, Dylan is a good communicator and very responsive. I can't wait to get my daughter taking guitar lessons as well.

Dylan is an excellent guitar teacher. As a beginner adult student learning the guitar, Dylan was patient with me and able to provide lessons tailored to my specific needs. I highly recommend him.
