Utah's Hogle Zoo is a 42-acre zoo located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It houses animals from diverse ecosystems. It is located at the mouth of Emigration Canyon. Hogle is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Utah’s Hogle Zoo offers a wide variety of Zoo programming for learners of all ages and interests. Only 10 percent of American zoos are accredited by the AZA. As part of the AZA, Hogle Zoo must abide by strict husbandry, education, and guest service requirements. At Utah's Hogle Zoo, Picture yourself face-to-face with a rhino or feeding one of their giant Aldabra tortoises. Their exhibits are home to more than 800 animals from diverse species. They have many refreshing treats and ice-cold drinks to enjoy.

The Natural History Museum of Utah is the 163,000 sq. ft Rio Tinto Center. The Museum highlights Utah's paleontology discoveries, fascinating minerals, and gems found worldwide. It aims to elucidate the natural world and how humans fit within it. Additionally, it has preserved stories from the five Native American nations that reside within the state and relics from prehistoric peoples. For Museum scientists responsible for the care and curation of the collection's more than 1.5 million pieces, the facility houses cutting-edge research and collecting capabilities. The Canyon is the Museum's primary public area, standing three floors tall and boasting a collection wall that showcases more than 500 items from the collection. The Natural History Museum also affords free admission for the University of Utah students, faculty/staff with valid IDs, children (2 and under), and members.
