3 Best Places To See in Salt Lake City, UT

I love this museum! The layout for the second to fourth floor exhibits slowly moves you from floor to floor and is such an amazing use of space for the particularly large dinosaur exhibits. I'm always so interested to see the newest rotating exhibit, too. It's a little easier to miss since it's in a back corner but it's understandable for the location since it needs time to be switched over. For the most recent trip, my friends and I went to Dino Fest. It was a blast! They open up the back collections area and the lab, and you get to talk to all the awesome employees and volunteers about the different fossils and their work. Everyone was so excited and enthusiastic to share their information and stories. Highly recommend visiting during the annual Dino Fest.

This place was absolutely awesome! With its impressive four floors to explore, each level offers a unique opportunity to learn and discover something new. The variety of exhibits and displays is truly overwhelming, presenting a wealth of information that captivates the imagination. There's so much to take in that it’s clear that one visit is simply not enough. Each corner holds something intriguing, and I found myself wanting to soak up every detail. It’s evident that multiple trips would be necessary to fully appreciate and understand all the knowledge and experiences this incredible venue has to offer. Every visit promises to unveil something different, making it an exciting journey of exploration and learning.

AMAZING!!! Plan to spend a few hours to do the displays justice. Lots to see make sure your photography devices are charged. Family friendly and interactive. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! One of the best Natural History Museums I have seen next! Lots of parking.

A splendid place to visit! Parking is easy, the collection of birds is great, the plants are well labeled, and the overall value for admission is fantastic. This is a crowd pleaser that folks of all ages will enjoy. You can pop in for a quick (c. 1 hour) visit or take your time and spend the whole afternoon here. I highly recommended checking if you can time your visit to catch some of the daily shows and/or seasonal events. I've been to zoos across the United States and Europe and, let me tell you, this is a gem. It may be a small zoo, but they make the most of it and fill it with a good variety of birds. They seem well cared for too, and we got to see a good variety of birds behaviors during our visit (we came in the afternoon). As a botanist, I enjoyed their choices of plants (they have cannonball trees in their tropical house!). The signage for the birds is top quality: clear, consise, informative, and full of interesting facts that people of all education levels can enjoy. Our group was composed of a low-attention span kiddo, a cranky hard-to-impress teenager, my elderly asian grandmother, and my parents... and we all had a really great time! This is one of the best places to visit in Salt Lake City; definitely check it out.

This is a GEM in SLC. I recently visited the Tracy Aviary in Liberty Park, and it was such a wonderful experience. The variety of birds they have is incredible!! everything from colorful parrots to majestic eagles. I especially loved the interactive bird shows; they were not only fun but also really educational. The entire aviary is beautifully landscaped, and you can tell they care deeply about conservation. It’s a peaceful and inspiring place, perfect for families or anyone who just loves nature. I’ll definitely be going back!

I adored this aviary and could have spent all day there. The gardens and grounds are kept beautiful. The birds are happy and healthy. Take the time to stop here and just stroll.
