HOGLE ZOO REVIEWS
I really like this zoo, I've always had a good time here. They've done a good job of expanding their enclosures to give the animals more space and a more natural environment, while also increasing visibility. I really enjoy the African Safari and their Rocky Shores areas. We had a good time and the kids loved it. Unfortunately all of their water fountains are shut off right now, so make sure to bring your own.
Since 1931 Hogle Zoo is a fantastic zoo. Great exhibits with some very rare animals. Plan on lots of walking with hills as well. For the most part it is handicapped equipped and friendly as well. Took my youngest grand daughters and they had so much fun!
Haven't been here since I was in high school, after I graduated I was determined to make sure I took my kid to the zoo whenever I finally became a parent. Well, finally took my son here for his very first trip to the zoo and it was very memorable. He kept looking at the animals and would smile, I am planning on bringing him back again when he gets a bit older. Time was saved when I purchased our tickets online, so that part I highly recommend.

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM OF UTAH REVIEWS
We went in during winter break, and it looks like others had the same idea, too! It's been a long time since I've visited the Natural History Museum, and I loved seeing all the new additions. Of course, the classic dinosaur area is always a win in my book. We enjoyed walking through the Cambodian exhibit named Angkor. Lots of cool artifacts! There are five levels of pure fun and subjects to explore. Our 2 year old loved her experience! There is even a play area with water and boats for little ones. They were a success! Lastly, we enjoyed stopping by the store and buying gifts for a very reasonable price. 10/10 recommended if you are in the Salt Lake City area!
We were very surprised with the size and the material this museum had to offer. We easily spent about 3 hours in the museum but we could certainly spend more if we had more energy. We actually ended up taking some pictures of the texts to read later at home. Amazing material showcasing the history of Utah, the actual city and many other cool chronological geology! We certainly learned a lot!
I really enjoyed the Egypt exhibit last summer. Overall, the museum is very easy to navigate. It’s not hectic & crowded. They have excellent discounts for U students & the staff is helpful & friendly!

TRACY AVIARY & BOTANICAL GARDENS REVIEWS
Tracy Aviary was very enjoyable. Even though it was very cold outside, the birds did not seem to mind and some even came out of their houses to greet us! There were many birds - a wide variety from around the world. Such beautiful colors were on display. Some indoors, some outdoors. The recent upgrades to the Aviary were very nice, especially for the wildlife. It was fun to watch, and hear, the birds interact with each other. Highly recommended.
Beautiful and clean environment with a great variety of birds. If you visit, look for the friendliest crow I have ever met, Curie! She flies about and says hello when something strikes her fancy. The staff are happy to talk about the different birds and clearly love the animals so much. We visited for a school field trip and the kids loved it.
Even in this cooler weather, this was a great way to spend an hour or two! The staff were are wonderful, and the variety of birds exceeded my expectations. The grounds are truly lovely, especially with all of the fall color. A great activity for locals with or without kids. Just FYI we went on a weekday afternoon, and the snack/coffee bar was closed, so plan accordingly.
