I've been participating in Matt’s Jazz, Funk, and Blues workshop classes at Music Lessons Arizona for quite a while now, and the experience has been a game changer for my playing. One of the things I really appreciate is how structured the classes are — they’re not just jam sessions, they’re thoughtfully designed to help you grow. There’s a strong focus on collaboration, active listening, and theory, and my understanding of music theory has increased tenfold since joining. Matt also goes out of his way to answer specific questions and provide support related to what we’re working on in class. Another huge benefit is the extensive library of learning resources. Having access to all those materials during the week has really helped me develop my skills between sessions. The music we play is definitely challenging, which is perfect for advanced players looking to grow, but the atmosphere is still fun and supportive. You get the chance to play with a mix of skill levels, which I think is important — to get better, you need to play with musicians who push you. Matt’s classes create that environment in the best way. Highly recommend this program if you’re serious about improving your musicianship and want to be part of a great community of players.

I have been taking drum lessons with Alex at Music Lessons Arizona as an adult beginner and I have all good things to say about this studio! Super friendly staff and ownership, easy communication, and always accommodating of any type of rescheduling needs. Most importantly, I am learning *fast* and having fun as I go. I plan to enroll my daughters here as soon as they are ready for music lessons. Highly recommend.

My 5 year old son Ahmad has been in this school for almost a month, and has learned 2 songs on the piano! The atmosphere, professionalism, and communication with the staff is top tier. Can't wait to see him grow as a musician in this school for many more years.

DR. JEFF MUSIC LESSONS REVIEWS

My son started taking lessons from Dr. Jeff when he was in the 4th Grade and has been with him for almost three years. We interviewed two instructors and Dr. Jeff was the best fit due to his patience and ability to answer questions thoughtfully from my son. We really appreciate his extensive musical background. My son is progressing even through the pandemic. We are grateful that Dr. Jeff has accommodated us with offering virtual lessons. He is very good at selecting music for my son that is very engaging.

Dr. Jeff is a good teacher. He is good at identifying the mistakes/problems and is able to find apt exercises to overcome them. Very flexible in the way and what you want to be taught.

Dr. Jeff is an amazing teacher. At first, I just wanted to learn how to play the piano, but I feel like I have learned so much more. I would suggest if you even have a little bit of interest of learning music do it with Dr Jeff.

All of the instructors at TR music are amazing and every single one is my daughters favorite. Mr. Kyle who works the front desk is the BEST and always so patient and kind with EVERYONE. The kids and parents love him. TR music is one BIG family environment and it is great to be a part of this dance school. Thank God for Frank and Yesenia, 2 people who love what they do and they created this awesome, safe place for our children to shine.

Even when we weren't firing on every cylinder on personal levels, there was always a high level of respect maintained for the mission and each individual's dedication to the betterment of themselves and for the respect they pay to all those around them.

Every week, I can’t wait to see John for my ukulele lesson. His love for the instrument shines through, and he’s such an incredible teacher. He tailors the lessons perfectly, making it feel like a fun hangout with a friend rather than a strict lesson. Highly recommend him.
