“Dr. Mayer J. Hasbani completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Later, he attended Washington University School of Medicine from 1994 through 2001, where he received a Doctor of Medicine and a Ph.D. degree in the neuroscience department. His research interest was focused on the recovery of structure and function after an ischemic stroke. After this, he completed a residency in 2005 in Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed a fellowship year at Yale New Haven Hospital in Clinical Neurophysiology with an interest in neuromuscular conditions and epilepsy. Dr. Mayer is currently in a group practice composed of two neurologists, with offices in New Haven and Branford. It is a general neurology practice that involves a wide range of neurological conditions.”
