Dr. Richard A. Bernstein received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Cook County Hospital. He completed his fellowship at Harvard, where he has developed a specialty in Orthopaedic practice focusing on Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Dr. Bernstein is actively involved with the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is the Medical Director of the Connecticut Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Milford, Connecticut, and is currently the Chairman of the Courses and Meetings Advisory Committee for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Bernstein recently received another appointment from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) to serve as Co-Chair of the Courses and Meetings Advisory Committee, beginning in the Fall of 2023.
