TOP 3 ROCK A. HEYMAN, MD - UPMC NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE - MAGEE REVIEWS
I am a RN and was diagnosed with MS over 31 years ago, and I recently found myself in need of a neurologist specializing in MS. I transferred my care to Dr. Heyman, and I could not be happier! He is professional, kind and very caring as he reviewed my extensive history before beginning my physical exam. The assessment was extremely thorough with explanations given as it was performed. The end of the visit included his findings and instructions handwritten in front of me as Dr. Heyman provided detailed education to illustrate his points. Due to his expertise, communication skills and genuine display of compassion for his patients, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Heyman to anyone! I feel extremely blessed to have him managing the care of my MS.
There is no one better!!!!! Period end of story. I have never in my entire life had a doctor treat me with this level of care and compassion. This man is a true angel of medicine and any patient that ever walks in his door is blessed to be able to sit in front of him. He is beyond intelligent, beyond compassionate, beyond thorough and his bedside manner couldn’t be any more pleasant. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Heyman!!!!!!!
It is a privilege and blessing to have Dr. Rock as my MS doctor. He knows MS; I know my own MS experience. Between the two of us we tackle the mystery of how best to move forward. I like the fact that he listens and maps out a complete plan of treatment that inspires confidence.

TOP 3 JAMES P. VALERIANO, MD - AHN NEUROLOGY REVIEWS
Dr Valeriano is extremely caring. He did not TELL me what to do but rather discussed all options and risks associated with my medical condition. I cannot express how fortunate I feel to have dr. Valeriano as a doctor. I feel I can relax in life and that is a priceless gift.
I've been to Dr. Valeriano has been the best doctor I've been to. I've been to him since I've been 18. Answers all my questions and returns my calls and e-mails right away. If he can't do it, his assistant will get back to me. Even though I am miles away. I haven't had a better doctor. And to all that are mistaken. He is a neurologist, not a orthodontist.
He is a very thorough physician! He answered my questions before I asked them. Amazing bedside manner!

TOP 3 SUSAN M. BASER, MD - ALLEGHENY GENERAL HOSPITAL REVIEWS
I’ve been going to Dr. Baser twice a year for the past hmmmm…decade? She initially diagnosed me with dystonia, Parkinsonism and a few other things due to a traumatic brain injury. Prior to that, I was at UPMC being treated like I was doing it to myself and making it up. What a relief to learn that my suffering that I was trying to will myself not to have, was a non curable neurological movement disorder. It a progressive disorder. I went from cervical spine dystonia to generalized dystonia, which means everywhere. I go to Dr. Lietchliter every 3 moths to get 500 units of Botox in my head, neck, shoulders and legs. Without the Movement Disorder Center at AGH, I would have probably killed myself. Before them, the other uneducated doctors where trying very hard to convince me I was doing this to myself. Unfortunately, for someone with dystonia, my story is not unique. Even the EMT’s have no knowledge of dystonia. They threw my down on a gurney and ripped my lower back muscles because they didn’t have time for my dystonic spasms. Thank you for AGH and their movement disorder center! Dr. Baser is not one to be fooled by symptoms or sugar coat your condition. She’s a nice doctor and Dr Lietchliter is my favorite doctor because he always try’s to help me. If you can’t get into see her, or your appointment changes, that’s not fun, but it’s not like there’s another Dr. Baser out there. She treats the complex cases, so be patient. You can always see the nurse practitioner for in between appointments.
Ive been seeing Dr Susan Baser since i was 16 now 40. I trust her with my life. She was the one who got me diagnosed with dystonia when no other doctor could. She referred me to two other doctors to get a diagnosis back then. Then referred me to another colleague who got me back on track. She is a movement disorders specialist. Not just a neurologist who has extensive knowledge on just about everything.
August 3, 2020. I had my first appointment ( video ) today with Dr. Baser. She was extremely warm, knowledgeable, and positive. I can highly recommend her.
