"Dr. Andrew McKeon finished his medical education at the University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, School of Medicine. He completed both his residency and fellowship training, gaining advanced clinical expertise in his field. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as a Professor of Neurology and an Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, where he is actively involved in teaching, research, and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Andrew McKeon is a member of the American Neurological Association and the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology. He is co-director of the Neuroimmunology Laboratory. His research and clinical interests are related to the evaluation and treatment of patients with autoimmune CNS disorders. His research goals are to discover new antibody biomarkers for those diseases, validate the biomarkers for clinical use, understand the pathophysiological significance of those biomarkers, and develop therapeutics. Dr. Andrew McKeon is currently practicing at the Mayo Clinic, which provides expert care to everyone who needs healing.
