"Dr. Max Steuer earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas, where he also completed his general surgery internship under the renowned Dr. Michael DeBakey. He went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at BCM. As a board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Max Steuer utilizes modern technology to provide safer and more effective treatment options, consistently favoring a conservative, nonsurgical approach to recovery whenever possible. He has held leadership roles, including serving as Chief of Surgery at Northside Hospital and Section Head of Neurosurgery at both Northside Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. He has also contributed as an investigator in artificial disc replacement studies. He is affiliated with Northside Hospital and Northside Hospital Forsyth.
2026 Update: Dr. Max Steuer has also served as a Continuing Education Instructor for a course on ACDF surgery for workers’ compensation attorneys, case managers, and adjusters. In addition, he served on the MagMutual Physicians Claims Committee from 2015 to 2021."
