He went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at BCM. I have been a patient of Dr Steuer’s for about 8 years. I had ongoing pain in my cervical neck, C3-C5. Dr Steuer has always been upfront and honest about the surgical process and what to expect, but he always left the decision up to me to decide when I was ready. Dr Steuer and his team were very thorough with assessing my situation and answered all my questions and concerns. The entire experience was truly amazing. If I needed anything, they were there to take care of me. In hindsight, I should have had the surgery long before my increasing pain, but was very nervous about the surgery. Dr Steuer, Cooper Carter and August were absolutely amazing throughout my care. Any questions, they answered honestly and directly. I would not let anyone else do my surgery! I was extremely well cared for and completely trusted this wonderful man, Dr Steuer! As well as the clinical team, the front office and Lisa, were truly kind and compassionate. Highly recommend!

Dr. Steuer, Carter and August are the best! I had severe spinal stenosis to the point that I could not walk 200 feet. Dr. Steuer performed surgery and the results are phenomenal. Not only is the pain gone but I can walk again. I cannot express enough thanks to the staff for their concern and care! You all are the greatest!!

Dr. Daniel Refai truly made a difference in my life. He performed my emergency spine surgery, and he continued to guide me through an 18 month recovery with consistent care and excellent communication. Dr. Refai is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, but what stood out just as much was his calm, kind manner. He listens carefully, explains options and next steps in a way that makes sense, and never makes you feel rushed. I always left appointments feeling informed and reassured. He was amazing. I went in for myelopathy and myelomalacia...he had reviewed my MRI prior to my first visit, had a surgical plan and I had surgery a couple of days later. I have never looked back. I feel like he gave me my life back!!!

I strongly recommend Dr. Gropper. He performed surgery on my back (L-4, L-5, S-1) four years ago, and I have had no problems since then. Prior to the surgery, post op, and during follow-up exams, he was very easy to talk to and very responsive to my many questions, and I never felt rushed. I have already recommended him to friends, and will continue to do so.

Dr. Gropper is very easy to talk to and is very much to the point. He instilled some hope that my disc herniation/sciatica will get better. He doesn’t dance around problems and is looking to solve the issues from the moment you arrive. Very helpful and informative and I look forward to seeing him again for my surgery. Highly recommend!
