“Dr. Joseph Miller completed his MD degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, completed his Internship in Neurological Surgery, and earned a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is the President of the American Academy of Neurological Surgery and a past President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He was a T32 NIH Research Fellow focusing on neuro-oncology and spinal cord injury. He instructed translational research in spinal cord injury and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) at Emory University. He specializes in treating patients with aneurysms, brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, and other conditions affecting the brain and spine.
