TOP 3 HANS C. COESTER, MD - UCHEALTH BRAIN AND SPINE CLINIC - FORT COLLINS REVIEWS
Dr. Coester and staff have done a marvelous job at guiding me through this entire experience so far (had surgery about 3 weeks ago). I started out seeking Dr. Coster's advice as a second opinion about spinal fusion surgery and cyst removal and ended up selecting him to do the surgery. With his considerable experience and his ability to explain complex anatomy and conditions clearly, it was an obvious decision to me to choose him to do the surgery. His support staff have been very professional and helpful. He tends to rely heavily on them so he can focus on doing the best possible surgery while they make sure you are getting the best possible recovery. The surgery so far as been a success- the recovery has gone much faster than expected, and the original sciatica pain is gone. Just a follow up: the surgery was quite a success for me. I’m now returned to a normal life— what’s especially good for me as that I can stand for long periods of time in museums and chase around after my little nephew. The follow up care provided by his staff (especially Alison) has been very personable, advice on target, and I feel I could turn to them at any time for questions. I wish one didn’t have to wait as long as I did to get from the initial consultation to having the surgery done— but that was due more to Medicare check off requirements for unnecessary PT that was not effective more than anything else.
I did a very successful neck fusion with Dr. Hans Coester about 12 years ago. I got far more useful function than expected and for a longer period of time. About a month ago, I had to do another one, because of degeneration due to age in another area of my neck. I chose to do the same type of procedure with the same Dr. I can write all the reviews I want, but literally sticking my neck out for surgery again with the same Dr. is proof of how serious I am about his excellent performance and the results he produces. Dr. Coester and his entire office are top-notch and I appreciate them very much!
Dr. Coester performed a fusion of the L3-4 lumbar this this past week on me. He and his team are spot on, very professional and reassuring. And if it tells you anything in Post-Op, most of the nurses would use Dr. coaster if they had a problem with their back.

TOP 3 TIMOTHY WIRT, MD - BANNER HEALTH CENTER REVIEWS
Extremely knowledgeable, caring, thorough, attentive and he explained everything to me to the point I that I felt comfortable. He singlehandedly changed the course of my, post car accident, rehabilitation for my C2 cervical spine injury. I would recommend Doctor Wirt to any and all looking for an expert in spinal injuries, and who want a doctor who actually cares about their patients. I cannot say thank you enough for what Dr. Wirt has done.
Very good experience, my Mother had surgery twice with Dr. Wirt and she thought very highly of him, he is very knowledgeable and treats patients with respect. Office staff is wonderful, go above to make sure everything is ready for your appointment!!
I think some of the negative reviews above do not reflect his sense of humor. He told me he could fix my 30-year lower back problem with 20 minutes of surgery and he did. Didn't even need to take an aspirin afterwards. That was 11 months ago. He did a fantastic job.

TOP 3 DAVID BLATT, MD - UCHEALTH BRAIN AND SPINE TUMOR MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINIC REVIEWS
Dr. Blatt did a two level cervical fusion and a single level lumbar fusion. He knew what he was doing! The surgeries went as planned and recovery care, though managed by PAs, was more than adequate. He was able to diagnose the issues expertly and to justify the need to insurance quickly so that long term nerve damage was potentially reduced. We had opinions from other surgeons prior to the first fusion and feel like we absolutely made the correct decision going with Dr. Blatt. Furthermore, once the second fusion was needed we were able to move forward with confidence and trust. If you need a spinal fusion you’d be wise to meet with Dr. Blatt. (You will see PAs for post operative care, but that makes sense to us!)
Dr. Blatt performed my ACDF surgery and took plenty of time to diagnose and answer all my questions. He was confident and compassionate, aware that the surgery would be career ending for me. He didn’t guarantee 100% results but was confident he’d get me out of pain, which was true. I felt the follow up visits were satisfactory and the staff worked with my private, co-op type of insurance and made everything run smooth. Other reviews were nothing like I experienced.
Dr blatt did a spinal fusion on me in 2004. The results were amazing. I have been virtually pain free until a few months ago. I will definitely call him in the future for help. Thanks Dr Blatt.
