Early review for Dr. Obana. Five Plus stars! I received an appointment date three days after PCP referral. I flew in from Hilo and arrived at the doctor's office an hour early. Dr. Obana and his staff 'moved up' my appointment and saw me during their lunch hour. The time spent talking with the doctor was well spent as he examined the MRI results, explained the problem and possible surgery solution and answered all my questions quickly and effectively. Again, 5+ stars.

Highly Recommend Dr. Obana! Very competent and experienced doing these procedures. So very grateful to him for a successful surgery. Mahalos!!!

Lumbar spinal procedure done quickly with no problems. Excellent Doctor who cares and treats his patients very well.

I hope you don't ever need neurosurgery. But if you do Dr. Morita is the best! He stays up-to-date with new techniques and goes to off-island conferences to hone his knowledge and skills. He was able to get me into the Gamma Knife Center of the Pacific right away and works with specialists all around the nation. He stays on top of current research on proton beam therapy and other tumor treatment therapies so he will find the best treatment solution for your condition. He is able to put you at ease even when dealing with a serious condition. I've seen him for over a decade and would not be alive today without his wise intervention and experience. If you're there; know that you are in good hands!

I met him and got got appointment right away. He operationed on me Jan. 17,2024. I had aphasia and it was a very serious brain operation. His team operated and was wonderful. His hair cutter who stapled my hair made it look like it was a hair style. No scare is visible. He is caring And understanding . Five stars plus.

He’s so nice and compassionate Dr he takes very good care of my youngest daughter since she was 8 months old placing a VpShunt on her brain for hydrocephalus.

He knew right away that when I came from the ER, I needed emergency surgery. He spent several hours overnight doing my surgery to decrease the amount of damage that I could've had on my spinal nerves. From what I learned now, if it had not been for Dr. Gerber doing my emergency surgery, I might have been unable to walk, been incontinent, or may have many more health problems. He was so assuring and gave me much hope. Even when I was at a rehabilitation hospital for recovery, He gave me a visit there to see how I was progressing. This has been over 10 years ago but I am still grateful for what he has done. Thank you Dr. Gerber!

Thank you Dr Gerber! I can walk again! After 6 agonizing months from a herniated disc, you did an exceptional job on my surgery. Thank you so much. His bedside manner was calm and patient and he thoroughly explained everything going on with my spine and best of all, did not push or pressure surgery whatsoever if I didn't want it. I'm so happy with the results. I'd highly recommend him, this was my first surgery experience and I was very nervous, but I would absolutely choose Dr Gerber again if I needed to.
