Dr. Payner saves lives every day. I can never fully repay him for saving mine. He is the most polished and professional doctor I have had contact with. Throughout my diagnosis and treatment, he kept me up to date on everything that was going on. The surgery went flawlessly and I was able to recover quickly. I trusted my life with Dr. Payner and he earned my trust.
Stellar. In every way. I have recommended him to many people. Not one negative aspect of his treatment approaches, his staff, including his ability to help me feel capable to go live life!
Follow up after surgery. Dr Payner was able to answer my questions and give me an idea of what to expect going forward. He was reassuring and helpful with my concerns. Very happy he is my doctor.

AARON A. COHEN-GADOL, MD - IU HEALTH PHYSICIANS NEUROSURGERY REVIEWS
Dr. Cohen is the best of the best of the best. I had a large tumor (42.85mm x 37.79mm) pressing against my brain. I was referred to Dr. Cohen who reviewed my scans and gave me the peace of mind that he could remove the tumor. Dr. Cohen walked me through the procedure and what the recovery would look like. Dr. Cohen was very kind and patient with me and even took the time to have a virtual appointment with my wife and I to answer several questions and concerns we had. There are many attributes that describe Dr. Cohen: he is incredibly skillful, he has a tremendous bedside manner, he is kind and wants what is best for his patients. My recovery was smooth and within two months I was back to all my normal activities. I went back for my three month checkup and all is well. The MRI shows the tumor is gone. I was totally impressed with Dr. Cohen’s team. I give Dr. Cohen my highest recommendation. He is a kind, caring Doctor who I would refer to family or friends. Thank you Dr. Cohen!
Dr. Aaron Cohen-Gadol performed surgery on me and the results were excellent. I regained my full eyesight and have not had any issues. Him and his staff have always been professional, courteous, and caring before the surgery and through the follow up visits. I would definitely recommend him.
Dr. Cohen saved my life. I was about to give up and check out. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to treat the compression from Trigeminal neuralgia. I am 90 days postoperative and no pain. Thank you for saving me. God bless you and your skilled hands.

JESSE J. SAVAGE, MD, PHD - IU HEALTH SPINE PROGRAM REVIEWS
I had been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus in May 2023. I experienced a rapid decline and was admitted to Methodist Hospital through the ER. Dr Savage wasn't thoroughly convinced that placing a Ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VP) was the answer. After some convincing by my family, he placed the VP shunt and I had great results. My confusion, incontinence and gait disturbances/falling resolved. I then went to acute rehab for 7 days where I Progressed rapidly with my strength, mobility and cognition. I think Dr Savage saved my life! My postoperative appointment went great and he took time to explain the procedure that he performed and also diagnosed an acoustic neuroma that he had ordered more diagnostic testing for continued monitoring. I highly recommend Dr Savage.
My mother recently had a small brain tumor removed by Dr. Savage. I can’t express how relieved we are that we found him and how appreciative we are of him and his team. My mom recovered entirely within 24 hours after what was the scariest surgical procedure of my family’s life. It is shocking how well she is doing and how minimally invasive her surgery ended up being. This is all thanks to Dr. Savage and his surgical team. He is humble, but I will tell you right now, he’s the best you can get. My moms scar is minimal, and the surgery was completed quickly and with great precision. I know meeting with a neurosurgeon is not something any of us wants to experience, but if you’re in the position my family was once in, please have peace in knowing you’re in great hands with Savage.
Dr Savage took time to explain the procedure and made me feel comfortable, and he answered my questions.
Dr. Savage is a lifesaver. He treated me for my NPH with a VP shunt placement. He also will be performing a translabrinthine vestibular schwannoma resection within the next few weeks. He takes the time to know everything about you and listens carefully to your concerns. He has a great personality. I highly recommend him to anyone needing neurosurgery. He is simply the best. - JW
