Dr. Ricardo Jorge Komotar completed his medical education at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following that, he successfully finished his internship and residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Remarkably, Dr. Komotar performs approximately 800 procedures each year, utilizing advanced surgical and radiosurgical techniques. This substantial volume of procedures places him among the world's highest-volume brain tumor surgeons. Throughout his career, he has conducted over 6,000 brain tumor surgeries, encompassing a diverse range of cases. His experience includes more than 1,750 metastasis surgeries, over 1,200 glioma surgeries, over 800 meningioma surgeries, over 1,100 pituitary surgeries, over 700 radiosurgery procedures, over 500 awake mapping surgeries, over 300 laser tumor ablations, and over 350 robotic guided surgeries.
