BRIAN T. ANDREWS, MD REVIEWS
I have been seeing Dr. Andrews, for over 10 years for my lumbar stenosis that would occasionally flare up but I could usually control with regular exercise and occasional physical therapy. However, over the last few years my stenosis got progressively worse and during this past year the pain became intolerable. A new MRI convinced Dr. Andrews that it was time for a minimally invasive laminatomy which he successfully performed. I’m pain-free finally and I am grateful to this wonderful doctor whose no nonsense approach, clear explanations and care instills confidence and trust. I hope I don’t need to see Dr. Andrews in my near future but should my back start to give me problems again I know where to find him. Thank you again, Dr. Andrews. I’m so happy my old primary care physician referred me to you all those many years ago.
He operated on my neck in 1994. Never had pain again. Going back to him now for more serious lower back injury. I am glad to be back in the Bay Area. I trust only him for any neurological surgery.
He was confident, I was confident he relieved my severe lumbar and leg pain caused by having spinal stenosis for over 3 yrs. Bravo!!!!!!!!

BRUCE MCCORMACK, MD - NEUROSPINE INSTITUTE MEDICAL GROUP REVIEWS
Dr. McCormack is a wonderful and skilled surgeon and I'm so happy I chose him for my discectomy. My experience was great, not only with the surgery, which was very successful and I have my life back again, can't thank him enough! But also with his staff and assistant. They are all very responsive and felt supported through the whole process. He has a great bedside manner and answered all my questions and made me feel as calm as can going into something like back surgery. I have so much admiration and gratitude for great surgeons like Dr. McCormack who help so many people, including me, escape what I call 'pain jail'. It's been a year and a few months since my surgery and that with regular physical therapy (Renew PT is where I went and recommend) I am back to my life again and can't wait to get on the dance floor, been working on my moves :)
Dr. Bruce, McCormack is a wonderful surgeon and human being. I trusted him completely with two very complex procedures and he did an amazing and skillful job, giving me my life back. I highly recommend him.
Dr. McCormack is one of the best spine surgeons in my opinion. He did a lumbar fusion on me in 2010 and to date I am able to walk without falling down. I appreciate his honesty and the fact that he will not do any surgery that he feels won't work. Thank you Dr. Bruce McCormack.

EDWARD CHANG, MD - UCSF HEALTH REVIEWS
Dr. Chang with UCSF Neurology performed MVD surgery on my mother and we can't thank him enough for his excellent work. Dr. Chang and all his colleagues did a great job making my mom feel safe and well taken care of. He had wonderful bedside manners, always listened to my mom's concerns, looked her in the eyes when he spoke, visited her after surgery, and was all around a great neurosurgeon to work with. She stayed in the hospital at UCSF 2 nights and we were lucky to have wonderful nurses that we will be forever grateful for. If you have TN and you've been referred to Dr. Chang, you are in good hands. It's all worth it in the end.
If you've been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, somehow, find your way to Dr. Chang. He performed MVD surgery on me in December 2023. I can't say enough good things about him and his entire team. They are very special people, doing very special things and I will forever hold them in my heart. Thank you, Dr. Chang, for fixing me. Thank you for building and surrounding yourself with an amazing team that took such good care of me. I also want to thank you and your amazing team for being so kind and caring to my family. Somehow, find your way to Dr. Chang. He'll fix you too.
Dr. Chang was the surgeon for my mother's hemifacial spasm procedure, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He was patient, thoughtful, caring, and made sure she felt comfortable throughout the entire process, from consultation to post-surgery recovery. We had all been nervous about the procedure before we initially met with him, but during our first conversation, became completely confident in his abilities and the procedure. He took the time to answer every question we had, and walked us through every facet of the procedure. Now 6 weeks after the procedure, my mom feels like she has her quality of life back again. We're all so grateful to Dr. Chang. She has said more than once that he's the best doctor she's ever had in her entire life.
