My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with AVM. Her brain was swelling and had a huge blood clot. He had to do emergency surgery. They told us she may never talk again . 4 hrs after waking up she was singing. They also told us that she would be in the hospital three weeks to three months. My son had utis every month since a few months after he was born. After almost 2 years of specialists and testing, he saw Dr. Sun for a tethered spinal cord. We were in shock that his spinal cord could be what was causing his utis but, held onto hope. Dr. Sun performed the surgery, and my son wound up back in the ER within a week for a uti (we were told to expect this). Since then, he has gone ALMOST 9 MONTHS WITHOUT A UTI! THANK YOU DR.
