" Dr. E. Lyle Cain, Jr. obtained his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Cain completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI). He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine and has more than 30 years of experience. He specializes in knee, elbow, shoulder, and sports medicine. Dr. Cain has expertise in arthroscopy and the treatment of sports-related injuries. His research interests include the treatment of ulnar collateral ligament injuries in the elbows of baseball players. He has presented papers and instructional courses for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the International Society for Arthroscopy, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Knee Surgery on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries.
