3 Best Orthopedics in Kansas City, KS

I am a 77 yo who is now 4 months after ankle replacement. The pain management was terrific. I did not need one Tylenol or oxy. "Pain ball" was amazing. . Do not put this off if you want to be mobile and not dormant. The best team hands down. You may have to wait but get in line.

Dr Horton and his team did exceptional with my ankle surgery. The medical office is a well oiled machine and always followed up with messages and phone calls within a reasonable time considering how busy they are! I would recommend Dr Horton and his team in a heartbeat to anyone needing ankle/foot surgery. I have heard numerous people say the same thing to me when I said he was my surgeon!

Horton has done two serious surgeries for me. Both utilized latest protocols for fast recovery. Allowed me to get back to running. His skills are top notch.

I can’t say enough on how great Dr Heddings is. My son had shattered part of his femur. Surgery day was supposed to be 2-3 hours. Dr. Heading worked on him for 7+ hours. He wanted to make sure that the fix would last him a lifetime and wouldn’t have future issues. He knew my son was a runner and very active so he took the time to make sure he would be able to continue those activities after surgery. I feel most doctors these days wouldn’t take the time to make sure everything was perfect and really wouldn’t care whether my son walked with a limp the rest of his life.

I wish I could give him 20 stars! I had received a hip replacement and the doctor that did it messed up 3 different times on it with 3 different surgeries. I had to go 5 hours just to see Dr. Heddings. My case was very complicated as I had had a hip replacement, a revision to the replacement, a broken leg from the revision, and a non union fracture from the broken leg. He was so kind and understanding, especially since I live 5 hours away. He fixed my leg to where I was almost back to normal ( the leg is back to normal, just not the other complications from the previous doctor's work). He made sure I was comfortable and I feel he really cared about me and my situation in this whole mess. I would recommend him to a million people if I could. If you have a complicated case he is definitely the one that can help, and he has an excellent bedside manor!

Dr. Archie Heddings is amazing. He is a real compassionate human being. He listens to your questions and answers all of them. His staff is great and they also talk about how good he is. Thank You Dr. Archie Heddings!

Dr. Monahan took his time to ensure I understood all of my options in treating my injury. He was conservative in his approach and did not push for immediate surgery. I was able to rehab and recover without further intervention. I will return to his office if i ever need orthopedic help in the future.

Broke my wrist in a snow boarding accident and was referred straight to him. Ended up needing surgery the next morning. Fantastic staff, minimal wait times, and Dr. Monahan does a great job both talking with his patients and answering questions before and and after surgery.

He did laparoscopic surgery on my left shoulder and left knee back in ‘08 on the same day. I haven’t had a bit of trouble until two Sundays ago when I fell and now my knee is hurting so badly. He told me that I would probably need knee replacement in two years! He certainly underestimated his skill as a surgeon!
