Dr. Matthew O. Barrett is a highly trained joint replacement specialist with extensive experience in the field. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida College and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics in 2006, followed by a joint replacement fellowship at The Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia/Washington, D.C. Dr. Barrett is a specialist in primary and revision joint replacement of the hip and knee. Since 2002, he has been a proud member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He is also a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Barrett's research contributions are significant, having authored 11 published articles in major orthopedic journals and being the primary author of two textbook chapters.
