Dr. William M. Isbell is an orthopedic surgeon who has undergone fellowship training specializing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He received his medical education from James H. Quillen College of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Following his residency, he underwent further training with a sports medicine fellowship and shoulder service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. Dr. Isbell has extensive experience in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, focusing on advanced arthroscopic techniques. He has contributed to the scientific literature by authoring and co-authoring several book chapters and scientific articles on a range of sports medicine topics, including meniscal repair, shoulder arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and shoulder arthritis. Dr. Isbell currently practices at Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic.
