BATON ROUGE ZOO REVIEWS
At our recent trip to the Zoo-lights we had a blast. The zoo was quiet and easy to navigate at night. There are many new and exciting things coming to the zoo that I look forward to bringing my child to in the near future. While under work the zoo still was a pleasurable experience, there were signs up and project boards explaining the ongoing work. The zoo is also a sensory safe place, staff was quite friendly and engaging.
My husband and I was on a work trip and had a few hours ,so we decided to visit the zoo. The staff is very friendly and the zoo is awesome. I know after the construction gets completed it's going to be better. This GA couple loved the Louisiana state.
This is a very nice and well kept zoo. It was my first time there. The staff is very nice and friendly. The food was good. However, a lot of the animals were closed off do to them building things and making bigger habitats. They did give us tickets though so we could return again.

USS KIDD Veterans Museum is one of the well-known places to explore different aircraft. The USS Kidd (DD-661) is a destroyer of the Fletcher class, named after Rear Admiral Isaac C. This veteran battleship has been transformed into a museum and features exhibits on naval history, ship models, and memorials. One of the museum's main attractions is the Louisiana Memorial Plaza, which features an everlasting flame and serves as a monument to all Louisiana members of the military who were killed in action. Additionally, the museum also has a Corsair A-7E aircraft on display, which commemorates Vietnam Veterans. Touring the museum provides visitors with the opportunity to view aircraft that flew in Southeast Asia during two eras of conflict, explore the dented helmet of an infantryman who stormed the beaches of Normandy, and much more. It's an ideal location to spend a couple of hours learning about the brave men and women who defended the country.

USS KIDD VETERANS MUSEUM REVIEWS
Great little museum and self-guided tour of the ship. The tour was very thorough and covered most of the ship. We only had an hour, which was just enough time to get a good look at the ship itself without lingering in any one area too long. I plan to come back another time to look at the museum and take a little more time onboard the Kidd.
I love these old ships. It always amazes me how much they get into a ship this size. Just seeing how the bunks were laid out was an eye opener! The interior of this ship reminded me of a submarine. Everything is so tight. Definitely worth a visit!
Awesome place, first time here. A great place to spend the weekend. I love military museums. You can feel the past and the history. Just a hope skip and a jump from New Orleans.

This was my first time to visit & I am a Louisiana native. Now that I've taught our state history twice - I appreciate this amazing place a lot more. Unique architecture+ a unique background make for an interesting visit. I had a feeling it would be enjoyable & it exceeded my expectations!
Absolutely gorgeous! Stunning architecture and stained glass. Wonderfully pleasant employees. Cute gift shop with great Louisiana gifts. I didn't have time to look at the museum much but it looked very well laid out and informative.
Absolutely beautiful! Evidently you can reserve this place for weddings and I can totally see why you would want to. It’s a breathtaking piece of history with class. My family loved the experience.
