“Bellevue Botanical Garden is the ancestral homeland of the Coast Salish people, the traditional home of all tribes and bands within the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Indian Tribes. They take this opportunity to honor and express their deepest respect to the original caretakers of this land, a people still here, continuing to honor their heritage. Bellevue Botanical Garden is an urban refuge encompassing 53 acres of cultivated gardens, restored woodlands, and natural wetlands. The garden has grown to 53 acres, with a vibrant adult and children’s education program, popular annual events, and over 450,000 annual visitors. The garden displays plant collections in a park setting for research, horticultural demonstration, and passive recreation. Bellevue Botanical Garden offers vibrant education programs for adults and children, popular annual events, the Trillium Store, and its membership program. Free parking is available in the garden parking lot.”
