Beautiful gardening work from the Gainesville community, wow. The Children's Garden is a treat, the water gardens lively, some bulbs still in bloom in the bulb garden, some blooms among the evergreen garden. Very lovely. We missed some because of the heat but had a great time. The staff is very helpful and you get to see some I f the work it takes to make this garden happen. Bathrooms are clean. The gift shop has lots of lovely ideas and dodads.

This zoo is wonderful. It's hidden behind the Santa Fe college but surprising large for how little of it you can see from it's entrance. There are almost no large mammals, but a large variety of small animals. They also have ocelots and small clawed Asian otters, both of which exceedingly rare to find in US zoos. I went on a weekday and it was empty, so there was plenty of time to leisurely view each exhibit.

Given the relative youth of this museum, the collection is quite good, and the rotating shows have been really good. Last year they had a show on MiMo and Maurice Lapidus. Love that show made me very very happy. At present there is an amazing show with works by professor emeritus Jack Nichelson - I want one of those little trailer reliquaries more than anything I can think of at present.
