Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a profoundly moving experience that stays with you long after you leave. From the moment you approach the beautiful Outdoor Symbolic Memorial — with the serene reflecting pool and the hauntingly empty chairs representing each life lost — you are immediately enveloped in a space of deep reflection, respect, and remembrance. The museum itself is impeccably curated. It walks you through the events of April 19, 1995, with incredible care and sensitivity, honoring the victims, survivors, first responders, and all those forever changed by that day. This was an amazing experience I have visited outside of the museum multiple times, I took my daughter there we visited the museum in the daytime and she wanted to come back at night to see the outside with the lights on. Inside the museum It brought tears to my eyes hearing the stories from the survivors and seeing the aftermath from the events that took place. This is a true life touching experience.

Top notch 100% 30 years later, and Oklahoma has shown resilience by putting together a wonderful museum of an event that should have never happened! The interactive self guided tour is heart moving. You feel sad and yet feel the spirit of all the good that happens when a city stands with one another. We will never forget.

Myriad Botanical Gardens is hands-down one of the best botanical gardens I’ve visited. Even though it was extremely cold outside, the indoor conservatory (the large glass "tube" greenhouse) offered the perfect escape—warm, inviting, and full of life. Parking was easy and stress-free, which is always a plus. As soon as we stepped inside, we were welcomed by friendly staff and volunteers who offered arts and crafts for the kids—a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel family-friendly from the start. The garden was hosting a tulip-themed exhibit, with beautiful floral arrangements and local artwork displayed in the entry gallery—the pieces were stunning and truly enhanced the experience. Inside, the garden was filled with vibrant flowers, tropical plants, and peaceful corners that brought an instant sense of joy and serenity. A gorgeous waterfall greets you near the entrance, and just above it are colorful hanging umbrellas, adding a whimsical touch to the space. Every plant is labeled with plaques, making it easy to learn as you explore. But the surprise star of the visit? Muffin the parrot! Say “hi” to him, and he’ll say “hi” right back—charming and unforgettable! Highly recommend—this is a gem in OKC for nature lovers and families alike.

An absolutely breathtaking experience. The $10 to the Crystal Bridge is stunning, with new exhibitions being run every season or so. They also have an active list of events going on. The plants themselves are wonderful and have small descriptors explaining use and where they are from. I wish I visited this place earlier when I was researching plants, as there is beauty to find in the thing you never notice - a world that we may be losing to technology and destructive purposefulness.

The grounds are free to roam, walk and relax. The paths are beautifully landscape. There is a carousel and a play area just for kids. It was a late Sunday when we visited and to tour inside. Know there is a fee for that.
