We loved the intimate feel, allowing us to really engage with each piece without feeling overwhelmed. One of the highlights was the Mettlach Collection, which features incredible examples of European ceramics. The craftsmanship and intricate details on display were stunning. The museum also had a great focus on local Southern California ceramic artists, giving a strong sense of the area’s artistic contributions. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and share insights. Overall, AMOCA offers a fantastic experience for art lovers or anyone interested in ceramics. Parking was super easy on weekends. There are lots of trees providing shade. The staff is friendly, the museum has lots of unique pottery sculptures with creative messages or expressions. There's a small gift shop selling unique items that are not sold in stores or available elsewhere. If you are looking for one of a kind unique gift ideas the gift shop is worth checking out. There are restrooms available on the upper floor. There's a massive mural with lots of details and expressions cultural artwork. This is our 1st time visiting, and wasn't't sure what to expect. But we really enjoyed the relaxing vibes exploring in the quiet and clean gallery to recharge our souls and minds.

I brought my kids here to learn more about paleontology, and this museum was perfect for that! It’s located on a school campus, so parking requires a quick driver’s license scan by security, which I assume is for school safety. I purchased our entry tickets online, which was both inexpensive and convenient. The museum itself is small, with two floors, but it has an impressive fossil collection and fascinating exhibits. It took us about two hours to explore and read everything we were interested in. We had a wonderful experience and had no issues at all, unlike some of the negative reviews I’ve seen. Overall, it’s a charming little museum with a lot to offer.

I love visiting this museum! I have been coming here since the early 1990's and it is eye opening every time. So important to understand the ancient history of our planet and put into context our human existence.

An absolute gem of a museum. It has a wonderfully layout exploration of geologic time and some of the most spectacular fossil tracks I have seen anywhere. An absolute must see for anyone interested in ancient life.
