“Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation showcases the legacy and work of craftsman Sam Maloof via tours of his home and woodshop, plus gardens. The museum is dedicated to creating a pre-eminent center that preserves the Maloofs’ legacy and fosters the arts and crafts movement. Sam Maloof is acknowledged as one of the finest woodworkers of his time. His furniture is in some of the most important private collections in the nation and the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and many other fine museums. Until he died in 2009, he developed and created furniture infused with a great creative vision for more than half a century. Maloof's work was the focus of a major exhibition at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in 2001, and it is now part of their permanent collection. Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation is located 1.5 miles away from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.”
