STAMFORD MUSEUM & NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
The Bendel Mansion at Stamford Museum & Nature Center was the perfect place for our wedding. Every part of the house and grounds is more beautiful than the last with Italian sculptures, including a beautifully carved fountain, and of course the stunning Tudor style house. There is a large conference room to get ready, a gallery for cocktail hour with art installations, a wooden dance floor area, and a long dining hall and atrium for seating guests at dinner. They have a great selection of furniture to start from that offsets rental costs and while you do have to select from their list of approved caterers, we found the list to be quite long and were introduced to the perfect company for us through it (shout out to Best In Gourmet!). The SM&NC team takes such beautiful care of this property and we were so grateful for their hard work at our wedding, highly recommend!
We were very happy to discover this place. Only 15 minutes from Stamford downtown. There is a bit of everything here: I really liked the palace and the statues. The boardwalks were nice and peaceful. We met two young fawns there. Also on the territory of the nature center we saw a lot of animals: cows, goats, chickens, ponies, pigs, horses, llamas and many reptiles in small souvenir houses. And otters, they are as always, amusing and amazing. Worth a visit for sure, even without children - a good anti-stress therapy.
Reallllly awesome place for kids and adults alike. Beautiful grounds and my son pet a baby goat, a Llama and a horse here! There is also an amazing otter that they feed every day and I recommend bringing your kid to watch the show!

BARTLETT ARBORETUM & GARDENS REVIEWS
This place is so pretty. My family loves it! There are several short hiking trails, and a beautiful lake with a waterfall, and several gardens. There are so many hidden goodies here. My nieces and nephew favorite part was playing with the word rocks shown in the pictures. They were pretty creative., lol. It’s kid friendly, a safe place and very relaxing. I highly recommend this place! We love it.
Highly recommend Bartlett Arboretum! Was nice day walking the trails. Got to meet local dog walkers which is always a plus. To cap the morning, Dr. Bartlett was nice enough to invite me inside the homestead for some eggnog! Truly a memorable day!
This such an awesome spot to just take a hike and enjoy nature. Free parking available close to ground. Aroma of different types of flowers all around. Could not find the bathroom though. The trail’s are easy to walk and there is stream along some of the them. Will go back.

Just a wonderful place to relax and go for a fast walk. Gardens are amazing with a very wide spectrum of flowers. Great place to take your dog for a walk. Small clean park with lots of interesting locals visiting daily. Lots of parking. Can get busy during the summer months.
What a beautiful location. Stopped here on my way to hike the Mianus and wished I had packed a lunch. The garden is GORGEOUS! It’s so incredibly relaxing. I’ll be back, picnic basket in hand.
Love this place! I went there for a picnic with my friends. It is beautiful especially during spring and summer.
