Scalzi Park, located within the Stamford city limits, is the largest recreational area in the area. The park boasts an impressive range of facilities, including tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, running and hiking trails, a playground, and a bocce ball court. Skateboarders and inline skaters had a significant role in the design of the park, attending several meetings between December 2004 and January 2006 that resulted in the construction of the city's only cement skate park. Scalzi Park also offers various tree-lined paths and plenty of stone benches for visitors to enjoy. In addition to these amenities, the park also features picnic shelters, gardens, sculptures, monuments, fountains, tables, a frisbee, an amphitheater, trees, restrooms, and areas for events. The park is also home to wildlife, including squirrels, geese, and birds, and visitors can engage in activities such as bike riding, jogging, and walking around the park's ponds and open spaces.

Scalzi Park in Stamford, CT., is a great family style park. It's got great walking paths, skateboarding, playground, multiple tennis courts, baseball fields & park benches. And, the best part is the Park is free.
Great park to walk in. Nice playground for kids. There are tennis courts, and other sports available there. Bathrooms are kept up and lots of benches to sit on and plenty of parking. Very nice park overall.
What an amazing Park I can walk for hours, with plenty of places to sit and rest in the shade and restrooms available if needed. 365 days of the year whether it's super hot or freezing cold it's a great place to get some exercise.

Mill River Park is a 12-acre urban park that separates the Downtown area from the West Side located in Stamford. The park has a mission to establish and maintain a world-class public park in the heart of downtown Stamford. In 1998, Sasaki Associates, a landscape architecture firm, was tasked with developing a plan to transform the area along a portion of the Rippowam River, known as Mill River, into a public park, thus beginning the park's history. The Stamford Advocate has described the Whittingham Discovery Center, a building designed for educational programming, as a combination of a museum, classroom, and community space. The center opened in June of 2022 and is an excellent addition to the park's offerings. Mill River Park is an ideal location to spend quality time with friends or family members during your free time.

MILL RIVER PARK COLLABORATIVE REVIEWS
Mill River Park is a beautiful park with ample seating. I love to grab lunch down the street and enjoy it here. If you visit on the weekend, bear in mind the park is often used for special events such as festivals or concerts so your expirience may vary. Dog-friendliness: There is a dog park in this park Picnic area: Large grass expanses and seasonal tables
Nice park to have an evening stroll. There is a small river/ stream of water with lot of ducks so good to pass some time sitting by stream watching ducks play around. In fall, park offers nice hues of trees in yellow and red color..
Quiet and scenic park in the middle of downtown. Clean and well maintained. I attended a fun Bollyfit class and quite enjoyed the whole experience of dancing with a beautiful fountain within view.

Kosciuszko Park spans 18 acres of waterfront land, providing an ideal location for dog walkers and those seeking long walks. The park boasts a range of amenities, including a playground, pavilion, picnic, and barbecue grills, and a baseball and soccer field. Visitors can also enjoy riding their bikes and bringing their children and furry friends to experience the newly renovated park. However, it should be noted that the park is partially closed during school hours due to the temporary relocation of Westover Elementary School to 1 Elmcroft. One of the park's notable features is its 5-acre native coastal meadow, established in 2010. This meadow is a popular destination for migrating birds during the spring and fall, while during the green months, it teems with insects, birds, and native wildlife. Visitors can even engage in exercises while listening to the soothing chirping of the birds.

KOSCIUSZKO PARK REVIEWS
Came from NY to go to a beach but all the beaches in Stamford are for residents only, or really expensive. I found this really nice park on the water. It's clean. The bathrooms are open. I sat for a few hours and really had a great view of the Sound and tons of boats passing by. What a great little slice of heaven.
Nice quiet paths along the water. Plenty of benches to sit down spaced out along the Loop Trail. Picnic Gazebo. Baseball Field and Playground for the kids make this a great day at the park.
First time at this park. I went there looking for the waterfront. The water view is beautiful. It's a nice small park which also has a walking trail.
