3 Best Places To See in Sterling Heights, MI

My wife, and I visited Sea Life Michigan Aquarium last year, and it was a really beautiful experience. We’ve been to quite a few aquariums around the world, so while I wouldn’t say this is the absolute best one we’ve ever seen, it definitely holds its own and is worth the visit. The layout is well-designed, with a nice flow from one exhibit to the next. The underwater tunnel was a highlight—walking through with sharks and rays swimming overhead was pretty magical. There’s a great mix of sea life to explore, from colorful tropical fish to jellyfish and seahorses. The tanks are clean, and everything is well-maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s also family-friendly and educational, with interactive exhibits that would be great for kids. For us, it was just a fun and relaxing way to spend the afternoon. If you're in the area or visiting the mall, I’d definitely recommend stopping by. It might not be the biggest aquarium out there, but it’s charming, well-kept, and makes for a lovely outing.

It was a pretty good time, there were loads of employees explaining things and answering questions. It was a bit crowded since we were there on the first weekend of spring break, but it was a good time, with lots of neat things to see.

Truly enjoyable visit. Lots of fish, very clean tanks, unique areas. Defiantly geared toward a younger crowd, but very fun for adults also. It’s located in an outlet mall so makes for a great way to spend the day.

We had a wonderful time. Our grand kids came up from Texas. We thought they'd like to see the big dinosaur exhibit. They liked all the reptiles, stuffed wildlife, and other nature exhibits along with stories of people through out the centuries.. They had things the children could interact with and also watch a movie. The shark teeth booth was amazing. You could just imagine getting bit in half by those teeth, or devoured completely in one swoop. YiKeS! I think the cost was a little bit extreme for kids under 5, but I guess they need to get what they can get because it's a place of learning.

Great learning center. I was extremely lucky to catch the archimedes exhibit slightly interactive but a ton of food for thought. I plan on returning to finish off the areas I didn't cover due to the traveling exhibit. Disabled accommodating for people like myself. Small cafeteria with fresh food and drink available.

The gardens were absolutely beautiful! Additionally, the science center was worth it. The observatory with the telescope is worth it as well, the gentleman running it is knowledgeable and fun to engage with and learn from. My fiancé and I went for Valentine’s Day this year and had a blast.
