3 Best Psychiatrists in Hartford, CT

I haven’t been here in years, last time I went I was in high school, anyways. I’ve been to many other places since. And like the reviews state. This guy really is one of the best, he’s compassionate; he is patient, very calm and smooth with talking, just the whole ambience of the place/office is great. To be honest everywhere else is so terrible that I might just come back here. Everyone else who’s in this profession should come here and take notes. Ok sure you all do it for money ( some do it cause they care ) but don’t make it so obvious that this is just a job to you ! Come on now ! Dr Brian eddy is the one like NEO .. from the matrix, he is the way, he is the light, so let him lead the way lol.

Had such an amazing experience here, quick and easy to get in contact with. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Brian Eddy was amazing, cant say enough good things about him. He made me feel comfortable. He's compassionate, calm and easy to talk too. If you're looking for a psychiatrist I would definitely recommended this office.

I find Dr Eddy to be very realistic, helpful, and compassionate. He provides a calm, understanding, non-threatening approach which allows me to comfortably address my needs. His office is quiet and private, with a professional and helpful office administrator.

I also highly recommend Dr Frankel. because of a family history of mental illness, I have been taking psychiatric drugs and seen pyschiatrists for about 30 years. Many times I ran into situations where my current psychiatrist was going to be retiring and I needed a new provider. This is always stressful because insurance coverage is challenging. I now have Medicare and private insurance. Not many psychiatrists take Medicare. One of my previous psychiatrists told me many providers are now resorting to private pay. In other words, if you want to see a psychiatrist, you would have to pay for every visit to this doctor out of your own money. Very few people can afford that. Most psychiatrists spend 15 minutes with you. They want you to also see a counselor or psychologistm, etc. Dr Frankel spends a full hour with you. She takes the time to get to know you, understand your own history, your relationships with your family. I've only been seeing her for 6 months and I've already reduced the amount of medication I take by a lot. I was taking 2 medications. I no longer take one of them and I am only taking 1/3 of the dose that had been prescribed by my long time former MALE psychiatrist. I am very fortunate to have found Dr Frankel.

I highly recommend Dr. Frenkel to anyone looking for knowledgeable and caring Doctor, who is not looking to blindly proscribe medication, but to help with sociological issues. Dr. Frenkel is the rare psychiatrist who takes pride in her work and making patient her top priority and not the insurance the patient comes with. My mom was Dr. Frenkel's patient for several years and now I'm Dr. Frankel's patient. Both mom and I were able to make an amazing improvement in our mental health under Dr. Frenkel supervision.

Very pleasant, professional and easy to talk to. Was able to discuss my possible need to change my current medications. She was very receptive.
