"Dr. Uzoma Osuchukwu earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. He completed his psychiatry residency at Harlem Hospital Center and his fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Osuchukwu is dual board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Medical Association. His practice serves as a training site for specialty internships and provides a comprehensive approach to mental health care. Dr. Osuchukwu has published and co-authored articles on Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and other areas of mental health. He serves as the Medical Director of Advanced Psychiatry, Inc., where the clinic provides comprehensive services for a broad range of mental health conditions. The clinic’s primary goal is to support individuals and families in achieving stable functioning and pursuing their personal goals while managing mental health challenges.
2026 Highlights: Dr. Uzoma Osuchukwu is a community faculty Clinical Assistant Professor with the UNLV School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, where he provides education and training to Residents and Fellows. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Boston University School of Public Health."
