"Dr. David Crumpacker is board-certified in both adult and geriatric psychiatry and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed a residency in general psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. David Crumpacker's research focuses on risk factors associated with Alzheimer's disease, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of pseudobulbar affect. In addition to publishing professional work, he advocates for patients' rights. Dr. David Crumpacker practices at Salience Health, where the focus is on providing compassionate treatment for depression, including care for individuals who have not experienced sufficient improvement with traditional therapies.
2026 Update: Dr. David Crumpacker completed a two-year fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He then served as Assistant Chief of Psychiatry at Baylor University Medical Center from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Crumpacker has also been recognized as an outstanding physician by both D Magazine and Texas Monthly. He earned these distinctions in recognition of his professional excellence and contributions to psychiatric care."
