Military Park was an oasis in a desert for me when I was homeless staying in the YMCA in Newark. Almost everyday I would take time to go to Military Park and meet my fiance and daughter to share either lunch or dinner or catch a movie. There are also plenty of programs and things going on in Military Park like concerts, yoga, martial arts, and so many others that it's too much to name. Military Park brought me great joy and happiness during the hard time of being homeless.

My son love it. The sprinkle/spray area is ok you have to be directly under it to get wet but the mist do cool you off little. They added more benches which is a plus. I enjoy the xylophone sounds. This definitely brought more children to the park. Plain clothe security.
