SHAPIRO'S DELICATESSEN REVIEWS
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how well the food tasted. Not one dish was less than delicious. The Reuben sandwich was piled high with thinly sliced corned beef, and sauerkraut was in between and topped with Swiss cheese and 1000 Island Dressing. A big meal, but oh so delicious from the first to last bite. My wife couldn't stop raving about her salami sandwich. The potato pancakes were perfectly fried with crispy edges, and chock full of flavor. The Cole slaw, which was thinly chopped, was so good there was no reason to add salt or pepper. The potato salad had perfectly cooked potatoes in a spicy brown mustard sauce that perfectly coated each and every potato. The Deviled Egg was the big surprise because it tasted amazing. Spicy from the brown mustard, and a hint of sweetness from the pickles. For dessert we enjoyed eating the German Chocolate cake. The cake was chocolatey, the coconut filling had the right amount of sweetness, and the chocolate frosting was divine.
Went there 10 am Monday. Had stuffed cabbage and potatoe cakes, broccoli salad, angel fluff eggs and pickle and 2 sliced rye bread 19$ oh and a black cherry soda. The egg and bread made sandwich later that day. It was excellent as always. Wholesome food for the soul.
My Grandfather is a regular at Shapiro’s, and whenever we’re in town we’ll go out for lunch here. Besides the food, which needless to say is absolutely delicious (the Reuben sandwich is one of the best I’ve had in years, although it’s quite large so be prepared to take half home. Desserts are sensational and very well portioned as well, as are their sides & soups. Can’t really go wrong with anything, honestly) the staff members are all extremely friendly and complaisant, and make a point of greeting my Grandfather and I whenever we sit down to eat. Jennifer in particular is quite convivial. Shapiro’s in general is just a really solid place to eat. If you’re visiting Indianapolis, it’s a must visit.

MCALISTER'S DELI REVIEWS
I was looking for some vegetable soup. Checked with several restaurants to no avail. Called on a whim and they had it! They have a fire vegetable soup. Took another chance and Mom LOVED it. Not too hot or spicy. Worth going the extra distance to find. Also got a club wrap with lettuce, cheese, tomato and a delicious dressing. Busy time of day so had to wait about 10 min after ordering but understandable. Definitely worth it .
I can't go down East Washington Str without stopping into this place. I was with my wife and son and we ate til I eyes popped out. The food was good , hot , juicy and inexpensive for a good meal. Great service at a reasonable price. I recommend you have a drop in and see for yourself.
It was a wonderful time ordering my food from here! I lucked out and got the same Cashier twice! Both times she was hopefully and accommodating to my order!

POTBELLY SANDWICH SHOP REVIEWS
It was delicious. Got the broccoli soup and Italian sandwich. Soo good. Had great flavor, was made fresh and still hot upon delivery.
Really good sandwiches. The Cuban was a great sandwich with good tasting pulled pork, though could have had a bit more pork. Also tried the turkey club, Pizza sandwich, and A Wreck. All were very filling and the bread was really good. Enjoyed the experience and the view.
I love potbelly and have eaten at a lot of different places but this has been the best made sandwich I have ever had! It was cut beautifully and they didn’t scimp or go overboard with ingredients… I can’t picture a better sandwich!
