WINTZELL'S OYSTER HOUSE REVIEWS

Alabama specialties at an oyster house with fast friendly service, and large portions. Try oysters Bienville if you’re a Yankee and don’t know what it is. Anything with bacon is a treat. I had the scallops wrapped in bacon. Onion rings are not from a bag and collards have a nice kick. Shrimp and grits creamy and tasty. Plenty of street parking and a convivial atmosphere all around.

Darnesia was amazing! Food was delicious and flavorful. Red beans and rice were my favorite thing. Such a beautiful and fun space. Staff was so cool and joyful. Can’t wait to come here again.

Not sure if I gave a review but the food was great. I was there some months ago. Probably last November or December. Great indoor decoration as well.

CAPITOL OYSTER BAR REVIEWS

Sometimes a hole-in-the-wall is the way to go! This place is off the beaten path and trust me, you want to go here. We ordered the crab claws, a burger, gumbo, and oysters. Everything was incredible!! The owner stopped by to check on us, and he was a delight. Make sure you check out this hidden gem.

Unassuming, excellent place with a great view of the lake. Interior is a little shabby, but good vibes! Food is excellent- Cajun-style fish dishes and deep-fried options. The fried stuff is absolutely worth taking the health hit on.

Laid back fun with excellent seafood and a full bar. If you sit at the bar, use coasters. It's sloped and your drink will slide off without a coaster.

Very good experience here. We requested a table for 24 people, which was prepared promptly. Our server Jacob was very attentive and his service was great. Food arrived fresh and hot. I had chicken strips which were meaty and had lots of seasoned breading. I do have a suggestion on music. I really think that a diverse type of music needs to be played in the restaurant, since there are a lot of different people that patronize restaurants. Hip hop is fine but some people like different things. Will be back based on food quality and customer service.

My first time at the Juicy Crab. Wow the food was phenomenal! Good choice of options and a variety of plates. The place is made for you to make a mess because as the name goes. It is very juicy. They gave us a bucket of bibs, gloves, and plenty of wet wipes to clean up after. The food comes with a variety of spice levels. I got the mild and was pretty pleased with the slight kick while still tasting the flavor of the food. The service could have been better as our waitress didn't check on us like one would expect. She even sat down at a customers table and talked to them for a bit.

This was my first time to visit Juicy Crab. Everyone was friendly, service was fast, food was good. I had to get used to using my fingers to eat, but I loved it. I had a great time with the food and the people there. I recommend you eating here and get ready for it to become your new favorite place.
