General Security has been such a pleasure to work with! They have been very thorough and responsive to every questions and concerns I have. Unlike the other reviews mentioned, they were very upfront about their 5 years contract policy, and further explained their reasons why they require it. For a 5 year contract, you have free installation and get to own your alarm equipment when the 5 years is up, it’s self-explanatory as they have to cover the cost for labor and equipments. The contract was very clear, and straightforward, which I loved. They offer a lot of different types of security systems, and different gadgets; and unlike some companies, they are very honest, they’d tell you what you need and what you don’t need, so you don’t end up wasting a tons of money! I actually stumbled with a little technical issue while they installed my system, and they were so helpful, and able to come back the next day to give me enough time to fix the issue. Overall, such a great company, they are here to do business for a long time, and I know I can trust them to take care of my business (my baby). In a new future, I would love to have them install one for my house as well (that’s how much I love it!)

I have been with my local General Security since 2006. They do both my home and office and service is consistently excellent. I used to have a national firm and you always got someone different. Christine, the manager and Jared (our service guy) have been there since the beginnings. It's refreshing to know the same people have been there for 14+ years. I feel it says good things about the company and the management. I have upgraded my system to include cameras and the systems are easy to use. Additionally, because I have their regular service, I get a discount on my insurance which I don't get with RING or Blink.

Tech was awesome and easy to work with very respectful of our home. Christine in the Albany office is superb and got the service department out right away to replace the bad motion detector. The Albany office and the technicians are incredible love the system and the service.
