J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood is a luxurious farm-to-table restaurant and bar offering a classic steakhouse and martinis. The name of J. Gilbert's is an homage to iconic restaurateur Joe Gilbert, the icon of Kansas City's restaurant, both embodied and popularized in kindness. The farm-to-table idea inspired the restaurant menu, highlighting contemporary takes on rustic comfort food. The restaurant serves Midwestern brought-up USDA Prime Black Angus beef marinated over an open wood-fired grill, with the same inviting service and warmth that Mr. Gilbert was known for. If you're looking for date-night restaurants, a place to celebrate special occasions, or a nice dinner. Taste the Filet Mignon, Bone-In Pork chops & Lamb rack. J. GILBERT'S WOOD-FIRED STEAKS & SEAFOOD REVIEWS
My wife and I had a really excellent meal at J Gilbert's. The service was impeccable with our waiter making relevant and justified suggestions. The room is beautiful, and the food is seriously top notch. Sure the steaks are great but that is expected. The surprises were the terrific desserts, wonderful apps, and wow the pasta dish. Try the pretzel crusted onion rings! But really the best thing we ate was the blackened chicken pasta. I'm getting hungry writing about it.
J. Gilbert's impresses with its culinary finesse and exceptional service, particularly from our server St. John. The drinks, including a blackberry sparkling martini, lavender drop, and mango tango, were delightful. The Marilyn crab bisque set a high standard, followed by perfectly cooked 8oz filet with lobster and a flavorful 6oz filet with demi glaze. The seasonal cheesecake rounded off the meal beautifully. Fast service and exquisite dishes make it a must-visit.
This place!!! Holy moly! J Gilbert's is top notch! Can't say enough about our whole experience. From our server (Jonah), the vibe, and naturally the food- everything was exceptional! The 3 course prix fixe is so worth it.

FIREBIRDS WOOD FIRED GRILL REVIEWS
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE the Grilled Salmon BLT I'm told this is a time limited item BUT this should be a PERMANENT Item on the menu!!! It's surprisingly light, a sandwich that has A LOT of flavor and will make your stomach sing.
This was my first time visiting. The interior design was beautiful. I ordered the tuna street tacos and they were delicious. The bar attendant was very friendly, professional, and timely with my food. I highly recommend this place.
I went on a recommendation of a coworker. I was extremely impressed. The food was delicious and the drinks were well crafted. It was a night to remember based on my experience there.

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE REVIEWS
Madison was our server tonight. She was very polite and attentive. I had the sirloin and grilled shrimp with the mashed potatoes and broccoli. Very nice. My Wife had the ribeye with shrimp and mixed vegetables and a dinner salad.
We went during a cold day at lunch so it was pretty slow. The staff was still really attentive and the food was great. All in all a good time.
One of the few Outbacks left in KC or the Country as well.. Food was very good, they lacked enough servers as they got swamped at the start of opening and ran out of Koalas for the drink I had...but.. made it right...Check them out...the free bread is sooo good.
