Kevin Le is the head sushi chef at this restaurant. Uchi Houston offers signature tastings, sushi, and seasonal omakase with a delicate balance of quality food and memorable service. Hands down my favorite Sushi place. Not your typical sushi restaurant. I have been there about 10 times with each time being very memorable. I always do one of the chef tasting. We recently took my son there for his 21st birthday. The staff really made an impression. No loud singing, which my son doesn't like being embarrassed, so we prefer that. But they gave him a desert and the entire staff signed a book for him. It was an amazing night.

Clearly the best restaurant experience I had in Houston. The food is literally amazing and includes a large variety of freshly prepared traditional Japanese dishes. The sake and wine list is very extensive as well. The staff is outstanding - nice, eager to help, polite, and friendly. Overall, I had a delightful dinner!

SO COOL. We took my brother here for his birthday, he LOVES seafood and said it was a 10/10. We literally got to cook our own stake on a little hot rock. So cool and the waiters are awesome and sweet. And the desserts Ooooooooo don’t get me started, absolutely amazing 10/10 would recommend.

Such a classy vibe. The service is great, food is delicious, and drinks are lovely. The lobster spring rolls were a nice appetizer and definitely recommend the spicy crispy rice with tuna. We really enjoyed the Viva Las Vegas roll and the gojira roll. Everything was so delicious! Will definitely be going back when I’m in town.

Our server Leslie was fantastic. Great atmosphere, food came out quick. We enjoyed the Vegas roll. The best thing on the menu was the seared tuna! It was fantastic!!

Tomas was our server here and our service was immaculate! He was very polite and attentive. I loved his attention to detail. 10/5 stars!

KATA ROBATA SUSHI + GRILL REVIEWS

When I went here I was not expecting a Omakase but I got one with no reservation I sat at the sushi bar and was handed the plates as I finished which was cool. The flavors and portions were just right. The only reason I didnt give this experience a 5 was because of the overcrowded atmosphere. Gave the presents of a rushed meal. Other than that the wait staff was excellent and the bathrooms were nice and clean.

The sushi here is really high quality but don’t skip out on the non sushi items as they are really amazing as well. We had the Kobe sandwiches and the milk bread was so soft and delicious it just enhanced the experience of eating the soft beef. The sushi was really high quality and the toro was amazing.

Great food I go every time I’m in Houston! Solid seafood dishes both hot and cold. My favorites are the Texas Kobe Beef Skewers and Caribbean Roll (dried lobster). The interior is also very nice
