Louis Wooten is an accomplished attorney but I'm not rating him 5 stars for services he rendered. I'm rating him 5 stars because he helped me resolve a NCDOR tax issue without taking a dollar from me. Instead of taking me on as a client he encouraged me to resolve this issue on my own, because it would likely be fairly straightforward to demonstrate to the NCDOR that I wasn't required to file a return during the year in question. He explained precisely how to convey this to the NCDOR auditor and I'm pleased to confirm that my purported tax liability was written down to $0 not long thereafter. Louis Wooten handled my case very quickly and effectively. I only wish I had contacted him before my accounts were levied. I was pleasantly surprised that my issue was resolved as quickly as it was. Louis was able to do everything remotely for me, including all correspondence, since I do not live in NC. My only wish list item is that he would accept online payment. I hope to never require his services again, but I would definitely hire him again if I had a tax problem.
